Ah right - haven't received anything myself just yet. My electricity is still on the original Go Faster (5 hours from 20:30) until the end of April but my gas is on Flexible.bristolleedsfan said:Umiamz said:

This will not help with your gas unfortunately.Umiamz said:

Do we know what the new flexible tariffs for electricity and gas will be from April?MWT said:Umiamz said:

Hoping the price promise tariff doesn't get affected like the flexible, but in reality I know it's only a matter of time
If only it were easier/cheaper to shift our entire usage over to electricity, I would. I'd also whack up some solar panels and invest in a home battery and heat source pump and just be done with gas altogether. Pennies holding up the Pounds.0 -
Electricity is the killer for us with so many appliances etc. Our gas central heating is far cheaper per kWh. But of course I'd like to switch to a heat pump but I can't imagine what we'd need for a large Victorian house.BargainBear said:Hoping the price promise tariff doesn't get affected like the flexible, but in reality I know it's only a matter of time

I've had solar panels for several years now but whenever I've looked at battery storage the sums just didn't add up (perhaps new sums are on the horizon). Likewise when I started looking at heat pumps the downsides seemed to outweigh the upsides, apart from environmental considerations. I suspect that in the current circs environmental is going to be downrated in people's relative priorities until the present crisis is over. Sorry if this sounds cynical.
