I only managed 25% but as I only started 3/4 of the way in, I have higher hopes for next time round.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Can't say that what I understand of what I read above turns me on to follow suit - be it dark energy that I don't use or what comes out of the light bulb that I do. But 20 p may tip the balance and convert me yet.

Some of us have twigged for sometime, tariffs with exit fees can be cheaper for some people even if  they change within term and pay exit fees, Octopus Energy have a 36 month tariff available ( not on current tariff list) with exit fees

That is an odd one for sure.

I didn’t sign up for the winter workout (or whatever it’s called) but I did win £1 on the wheel of fortune for the second time in the past year. Probably more than I’d have have received from load-shifting, anyway…

Looks like the first turn down event is in for me, tomorrow 4:30-6:30pm, reduction of 40% meaning I could get up to 20p of energy free if I can nudge my usage right up to the limit. Good job I'm only doing it for the challenge! It seems a bit silly that I have to ensure that I use as much energy as possible within the limit for the best outcome. I could easily use a lot less than my target, which would be better for the cause.
I've got the same offer/challenge. Should be fairly easy; Mrs QrizB and the Experiments are going away for the weekend
Received the email from Octopus today telling me how well I've done. I did well enough that my residual usage was essentially zero :D so I wasn't expecting to get much credit.
Turns out they've decided that everyone who hits their target will get a minimum of 20p credit, so there's 20p coming my way sometime soon.
Also, they offered a change to the incentive; you can choose to be paid for the energy you *don't* use, rather than for the remaining energy that you do use. I've switched to that incentive for the next Big Dirty Turn Down.
I used 94% less electric in the 2 hour period mainly due to the daughter not doing her weekly cleaning for me due to her having C-19 after taking a test. In the day my usage is around 11 kWh and in the 2 hour period around 3 to 3.5 kWh due to the dryer being on drying bedding.
Someone please tell me what money is

30.78 kwh E 24.38p SC, 7.17kwh gas 26.10 SC  . Exit fees per fuel £150 in first yr, £100 in 2nd year and £50 last year - regional differences apply

Octopus flexible tariff reported to be increasing from 2 April, £50 below cap  for existing customers
Meanwhile, the cost of default tariffs for new customers will be £1,969, £2 below the price cap.
Octopus Energy will be writing to customers over the coming days with their individual figures
