Could you let me have the link to this forum please. I had come to regard this MSE one as THE Octopus forum. The only other "source" I am aware of is the Knowledge Base on octopus.comMWT said:

Octopus has its own Smart Energy Forum which is aimed primarily at those who have the ability to program smart devices to control batteries; heat pumps; and EVSEs to make best use of Octopus' Agile and Intelligent tariffs.Telegraph_Sam said:0 -
Still on Tracker and got an email saying they'll cap Tracker:
We’re introducing a maximum cap on Tracker prices at 30p / kWh for electricity, and 6p / kWh for gas
Is this the same cap as the Flexible tariff and should I switch to this anyway or to any other of their tariffs.

No, it is not the same as the Ofgem cap on the Flexible tariff, as that indirectly limits the price per kWh where as the Tracker cap is just simple and specific limit on the kWh price.nadsat said:

I moved from Tracker myself not so long ago and not a moment too soon. At that time Go / Go Faster led the field but in the interim that is sadly no longer the case for new customers. If you are not caught up in the great "SoLR" debate with its manifold complexities there is much to be said for simply going to https://octopus.energy/tariffs/ and doing the number crunching yourself. If that then leads on to strategic capping considerations then there will be no lack of expert correspondents here who can give you the benefit of their views.Telegraph Sam

Leave tracker asap. You’ve been overpaying for some months. At least go to flexible octopus. If prices go down in the future you can always go back to tracker.0

Well there are only two fixed tariffs on offer online and the lowest by a tiny amount is 24M Fixed and has gas at 6.25 kW/h and electricity at 25.21 - so gas is a bit higher than the tracker cap but electricity nearly 5p lower.niktheguru said:Leave tracker asap. I've contacted then to see what they come up with - seems no flexible tariff now on offer only two fixed deals. This will cost us a lot as coming in at about £4k annually! Thankfully we can afford it but I can see a lot of high usage households especially will be in trouble.0 -
Flexible tariffs are still available. Go to https://octopus.energy/tariffs/ and pop in your postcode (don't click the get a quote button) to see their entire list of tariffs, which you can filter down. They should be willing to let you transfer to one of these if you ask, you are not limited to the options they offer when you are signed in.nadsat said:

At the risk of recycling what has been discussed extensively previously I got the impression that what tariff(s) you can and cannot access depends on whether or not you are a customer at the time of application. What you see is not (always) what you get. As a non-customer your choices are more limited according to what I have read and you may have to start off with a fixed tariffmasonic said:

Edit: I have just read that you are already an Octopus Tracker customer so the above will be of little use to you if Octopus was aware of thatTelegraph Sam
