I have now completed the GF Invite form (again) that they sent me and will check if anything changes on the website. And ignore anything other than kwh's consumed shown on the IHD.Telegraph Sam

Yes @niktheguru and @Umiamz I’ll check out Go Faster, seen it being mentioned on here previously.
I know Agile has it’s good and bad times but I’ve only been on it a week and it’s been much more expensive (North West).According to Octopus Watch app my average unit rates are between 19.640p/kWh and 25.047p/kWh the last week so need to move quickly!0 -
The Go Faster 4H or 5H from 2030 is appealing. As far as I can tell the 4 hour unit rate is 5p/kWh and the 5 hour unit rate is 5.5p/kWh. All other times is 15.78p/kWh. Is that the only difference?0

You will need to wait until you can see your half-hour data on the Octopus website before you can move to one of the smart tariffs, that can take a few days, so be patient.Telegraph_Sam said:I have now completed the GF Invite form (again) that they sent me and will check if anything changes on the website. I suspect the majority of people are probably switching to this iteration of go faster.1 -
Likewise. I saved £21 compared with Agile this month for 238 kWh usage.niktheguru said:

My smart meter was installed yesterday and my application to switch to Go Faster is I hope logged and pending. Do I now disregard anything and everything that is displayed by the meter, at least until the connections have been put in place?Telegraph Sam

The only thing that you need to ignore is cost. As I said in a PM, the IHD will show your spot usage in kWs and it will show how much have used today in kWhs (along with usage over the week etc).Telegraph_Sam said:My smart meter was installed yesterday and my application to switch to Go Faster is I hope logged and pending. Anything in £ and p will be incorrect on your IHD, both now and after Go Faster kicks in. Anything in kW or kWh will be correct, both now and after Go Faster kicks in.Telegraph_Sam said:My smart meter was installed yesterday and my application to switch to Go Faster is I hope logged and pending. As everyone said, the meter is always accurate, the ihd is also accurate for usage in kwh and for reading the meter. The £/p on the ihd is not accurate and will never be accurate until they are bothered to change it.Telegraph_Sam said:My smart meter was installed yesterday and my application to switch to Go Faster is I hope logged and pending. Good things come to those who wait sam....no need to be inpatient now....it took long enough to get you to this step!0
