Atheros communications AR81

Help!
I'm in bother, I've accidentally uninstalled the above program from the wifes laptop and she isn't impressed:mad: and :iloveyou: not.


It's the intenet connection program and now we can't connect wirelessly or evn by ethernet cable.

I was going to try to download to a stick on this machine then tranfer to the laptop but cannot find any download for it, or non that work.

Is there a similar download that will work?

It's a Lenova G575 and atheros was installed when new.

Thanks chaps but, I found that problem is I can't download it because I don't have atheros on this machine, it starts the download then blocks with the message as above ie you don't have.......ar81 installed on this machine.

Well no I don't never had it on this 1 and now not on the other 1 either

Have emailed Lenova customer services with details so have to wait and see

Downloading is separate from installing. So you have it on a USB stick. What does the lenovo say when you right click it and "run as admin" ?
EDIT. also, what is the lenovo OS?
EDIT2. Alternatively system restore to before your uninstall to get back to where you were.

He hasn't actually downloaded the driver yet - read what he posted.

You too might want to pay a visit to an optician; the OP has stated that he or she has already tried to download the driver from the website but the download process fails:

No, it ends up the same, ie, you do not have AR81 controller installed on your machine

You are running the installer after downloading it, it is rightly telling you that it can't detect the hardware. Find the file in your download folder, then copy it to a USB stick, then run it on the Lenovo.

I think that you must be doing something wrong as that link downloads the driver (4972KB) onto my machine and I do not have an AR81 controller installed.

When downloading a file it does not check what is on your machine.
