  • Noddle shows all my previous addresses. I would assume Experian/Equifax would do the same.

It's because Equifax doesn't in this case, that Leeds is asking for historic POA.

The applicant's wife isn't registered on the electoral roll due to nationality either.

It is TRUE. We went in branch and had them printed out (which were free) and certified with the stamp, and Leeds rejected them as they wanted originals like the type that come via the post.

So we had to go online and order statements which are charged for.

They have accepted ours printed in the branch. Both Lloyds and Halifax, as long if they are not printed from internet banking Leeds are fine with that.

We weren't allowed printed statements online or from branch, it had to be statements that were delivered by post probably to prove that you received them at the address.

Probably it's different purpose of the statements. Mine were just to show our account activity and proof of deposit , not proof of address. For proof of address we had bills, maybe that's the reason why they have accepted printed statements.

Sounds likely if that was the context.

I'm surprised and sorry for the OP though, sounds like they're being particularly picky.

Had a message from the Broker, Success! Sense has prevailed!

'[FONT=&quot]The proof of address points were removed and the case was passed for offer. I was told it would be looked at hopefully this afternoon but tomorrow at the latest'

thank f......... using a broker is definitely the way to go with these things, I haven't been this stressed since my wife applied for her settlement visa.

I'm going to start requesting paper copies of everything, so much for helping the environment and stuff.

    Have you had your valuation?

We've got an offer but we're waiting on the valuation, I guess it's an "offer subject to valuation".
