Again I am another one that would use Gparted for this one usually booted off a USB flash drive. I also still have some Xboot discs I prepared years ago with Gparted amongst other utilities/ Linux ISOs on them. (Xboot has not been updated for a long time as the developer died)0

From your linkIt does not recognize in Windows Explorer but the disk management does but cannot do anything but remove partition.
From the OPThe Desktop doesn't see it. Doesn't show up in My Computer, Disk Management, or Diskpart through a Command Prompt.
I've highlighted the relevant parts.:)
That's an important difference.
The solution from your link relies on the disk being seen by Windows disk management.
GParted would have worked quickly and easily.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
