ITV Competition Notification

Hi all,
Been comping for a long time, and as everyone hopes, they get a call from one of the big ITV competition's.


I received a call from the media company who deals with the entries, which I carry out by post, but I was informed that they want to write to me with the details of the win. He couldn't go in to more details but they handle the ITV comps, and The Gadget Show.


Just wondering if this is the new way to advise since they went down the route of 'free' entry through the Post.


Hoping to find out the details in the next few days and have filtered down the possible prizes, which is probably a mistake as it'll no doubt turn out to be the lowest value prize of them all.

No reason the "free postal" should make any difference, they didn't get a full address with free web entry either (apart from some like the "sports kit" with multiple small prizes)

The most recently closed ones all seem to be fairly large prizes, you have to go back a bit for one with multiple prizes

So do I, I've cut it down to a few which haven't announced a winner, and those who haven't closed and there are a few interesting ones.

Best thing to do is believe it is the Gadget Show sending you promotional information about the Gadget Show Live and then anything you win is a welcome bonus

Exciting stuff can't wait to hear what it is! I always do the postcard itv comps and wondered whether anyone would ever win anything. Your post gives us all hope. Fingers crossed for a big one!

I won one of the Dickensons Real Deal competitions and they told me over the phone how much it was

Yeah, my small ITV win was a phone call when I had entered online. It was after they went postal only for the massive wins. I can only assume that you're getting postal notification for something that needs you to read specific documents or something to arrange the prize.
Either that or you've won a cheque that needs sending to you.

I've seen some of the other winners have said they were told what they had won, a lot of the ITV ones aren't just cash nowadays, I think part of the terms are that one must be a resident of the UK so they need to verify your address.
I was away for a couple of days with work and it's been frustrating, but, alas still no letter, hopefully today.
