...they're only 0.7cm narrower than pretty much all BA economy seats on paper. .....I've never travelled in one....

Non BA787 aircraft have more shoulder room. BA are going to adjust their seating in BA787.

I've been on a B787 and they are significantly worse than any other long haul economy seat. Read the reviews on https://www.airlinequality.com

I'd be wary of booking a Norwegian flight to the US given congress is in the process of trying to ban them!

I used to fly in on Virgin and thought this later arriving flight would be one of the few international flights coming in. I think it probably was but sadly the immigration hall already was full of those who had arrived off Icelandic Airways, Iberia (I think) and El Al. Turned out to be one of my longest waits in immigration but as I had a new passport I couldn't use the automatic kiosks.

Car rental from Alamo went well but the later arriving flight did mean I didn't get into the hotel until about 22:30.

    Here it is:

Fortunate enough to bag the exit row seats in the rear section of the cabin on our flight in the new B787-900 (a slightly longer/stretched version of the other -800 series Dreamliner’s in their fleet). Lots of leg room although the seats are slightly narrower as the tray table is within your arm rest.

Aircraft clean and tidy (perhaps because it was a very new plane). Crew on this flight all seemed to be American or American based. They were friendly and professional.

I have flown Norwegian before on both short and long haul services, so knew what to expect. We booked the package that included seat selection, luggage and a meal.

The meal was a choice of chicken or beef. I opted for chicken and it was OK. Nothing to write home about (showing my age now…or post on social media). Meal best described as “small”. Bring on board snacks if you have a big appetite. With your meal you can have free drinks plus free tea or coffee. This included wine if you wished.

If you do not pay for a meal be aware that the inflight prices are high. They are also charged in USD$ and only credit cards (no cash) is accepted. A bottle of water was $3.50.

You can also only buy items from their “on-board cafe!” after they have finished the meal service. This means I have found you cannot obtain even a bottle or water until about 2.5/3.0h into the flight.

Inflight entertainment was OK. There was nothing that appealed to be so I just watched some films on my i-pad, but for a low-cost carrier it is nice that they provide some entertainment.

Would I fly Norwegian again? Sure, for convenience and price. This LGW BOS flight saved me having to drive to LHR and was also cheaper than AA/BA/VS. However, I have also seen Norwegian fares similar to the main carriers, or even higher on other US routes. As the service on Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and Delta is in my view better than Norwegian then I wouldn’t pay the same or more to fly them. If fares are low – or if overall service improves – then, yes I would select Norwegian on these longer haul routes.

Worst airline I've ever flown with. Left us waiting for a flight from Copenhagen to Gatwick for 5 hours. No information, no apologies.

Then told a load of lies about weather delaying the flight to wriggle oou of paying due compensation.

If they're lies (note it's not just weather at Copenhagen and Gatwick, it's wherever the plane was before) then just sue them or use a no-win no-fee place. I'd personally be ecstatic at being 5 hours late and receiving €250 each! (Even though Norwegian are well known for being obstructive in that area)

I've literally booked the same seats prior to reading this. Glad to know there is plenty of leg room.

I had been expecting just a few more inches, similar to the over wing exits on their short haul B737-800s. Very surprised at the amount of space. Even the A seat had lots of leg room despite the door shoot attachment on the exit door.
