When do you plan to visit?

Looking at the beginning of Nov...

I've been looking at the seating plans on the seat guru website but apart from the obvious exit rows it doesn't really give much info on the seat pitch. Does anybody have any feedback on whether the seat sizes are compromised due to it being a budget airline?

The seatguru map shows an economy pitch of 31-32" and a width of 17.7. Premium is 46" pitch and 19" width....shown at the top right of this page: http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Norwegian_Air_Shuttle/Norwegian_Air_Shuttle_Boeing_787-8.php

I thought the seat pitch qualifying for the "cheapest" Air Passenger Duty only went up to 40". Norwegian Premium says it's a 46" pitch?

The main compromise is width at shoulder height, you are closer to the person next to you than on a non-narrow seat configured aircraft.

How many people will be travelling?

That wouldn't be too much of an issue to be honest...

There will be 2 of us travelling.

Just out of interest, is an exit seat usually better than a galley seat?

With 2 adults look at Virgin A330 2-4-2, Delta B767 2-3-2, United B767 2-4-2, AA B777 2-5-2. The fewer the seats in economy, the better the service.

And they cost a small fortune! :)

And their economy class isn't remotely special - they've just fooled people with snazzy branding. I've had countless people rave at me about how amazing Emirates are because they give you free food, free alcohol and you get TV screens, completely oblivious that it's a standard service on almost any full-service airline!

Their premium economy doesn't qualify for the reduced APD rate and they don't charge the reduced APD rate. What is confusing you?

As to the claims about their seats, they're only 0.7cm narrower than pretty much all BA economy seats on paper. I've never travelled in one but I can't imagine there being any significant comfort differences between them. And if you're getting this picky over an economy seat then I don't think any of them would satisfy you!

I flew LGW/BOS/LGW with them two weeks ago. You can find my review and plenty of others over on Trip Advisor in the flight reviews section.
