Norwegian Airways - Experiences?

Options
Hello,

I'm looking at booking a flight to NY with Norwegian Airways. Has anybody used them recently or does anybody have any feedback from recent experiences?

Cheers

They use aircraft with narrow seats with less shoulder room.
The flight timings can be poor when you can check in to a hotel from 3pm.
They don't have many aircraft so when things go wrong delays are long.

Btw BA and Virgin are starting services from Gatwick, so double check their fares.

    Totally wrong.

I fly Norwegian 3 times a month from Gatwick to Copenhagen.
And I can tell you Norwegian is the best airline when it comes to cheap/budget airline.
Far far better than EasyJet and Ryanair.
Ryanair has very narrow seats. EasyJet is okay compared to Ryan, but Norwegian is much better than all of these.
Wider than both, free wifi, and aircrafts are cleaner.

I highly recommend Norwegian without a doubt. I have been using them from last 5 years and never experienced any delays.
Their fleet is over 100 aircraft. So in the unlikely event of delay they will get an other plane ready quiet timely as Gatwick is their Hub.

Nope. This is about Norwegian flights to New York operated by B787 aircraft, not B737 aircraft.

Thanks both, I believe the flight is on the 787. I have heard good things from doing my own research. I understand it's a budget airline so I do not expect the world but appreciate all feedback

I've heard that the transatlantic experience is very different to the within Europe experience.

    Ah I see.
    Never flown Norwegian to NY.
    So you could be right.
    I apologize. :)

When it comes to long haul flights, Emirates is the best. Travel in comfort.

Except that Emirates don't fly from LON to New York

Barcelona to Birmingham flight was fine, with free wifi.
