Dad always had it as we were growing up, and I had it on my first policy back in the 80s, but haven't seen it offered since then. Which doesn't mean it doesn't still exist of course, but it certainly ain't common!
The same Policies from Hiscox & Chubb also (Normally) include Any Driver along with an agreed value for your vehicle at the start of each year and in effect like for like courtesy car in the event of a claim (Not a credit hire car).
They're aimed at the very affluent0 -

Ahh, but do they send you a stuffed meerkat? :rotfl:
I guess if you go far enough upmarket you can get just about any policy terms you like - for an appropriate price.0 -
Just to clarify, cover for Any Named Driver to driver other cars with Comprehensive Cover is standard on a Hiscox or Chubb Policy. It's also available on some of the Family / Home Fleet Policies, some offer comprehensive DOC and some offer TPO DOC
Chubb also offer comp to any authorised driver whilst driving the insured vehicle and comp for the policyholder to drive any other car. It isn't cheap though.0 -

The car owners policy allows anybody with a fully drivers license to drive car and they will be covered third party.0

So which insurer offers this and what is the cost? Surely the 'anybody' would need to be named drivers on that policy or at least have their own full insurance on another vehicle?
I just checked my AXA policy and it for anyone aged 25 - 70, and no they don't need there own insurance.
It was £33 to add it as an extra to my policy0 -

Can you just clarify that.
The extra premium allows anyone (even un-named drivers) 25 to 70 to drive your car - that I can understand.
But that cannot allow then to drive any other car - or are saying it can?0 -

No it covers them to drive my car only.
I can drive any car under third party driving other car extensions (Standard) or pay extra and it upgrades to fully comp.
There is no option to upgrade to give named drivers DOC extensions0 -

Thank you - that's very clear.0
