Seems as if the French are against the current proposed terms of any trade deal with the USA. As view it as a trojan horse undermining their own economy. As with anything in the EU. As soon as it impacts National Interests then objections are raised.

Not just FRA, also GER and NLD. It is basically giving our sovereignty to an unelected trade dispute resolution committee. Whatever the outcome of the referendum, Cameron will support a TTIP like deal with the US that subordinates our interests to those of big business.

If you want to be taken seriously at least try not to contradict your self in the same sentence!

I'm not! I know which way to vote, but you are not allowed to give advice on this Bb thus the choice.

Bit like the bbc when they mention a product, like Hoover, they have to say other vacuum cleaners are available - not sure that's contradiction or choice, you decide. Hehehehe fj

I see that the Prime Minister is to tell pensioners today that they will lose the triple lock if we brexit.

Well not until the end of the current parliament, and he didn't say would, he said could.

Cant pay for guarantees if the rug is pulled out from under your feet.

If the brexiteers are right, and we are going to the land of milk and honey, they could afford to keep it.

If the remains are right, and the economy tanks, all spending plans will have to go back to the drawing board for more cuts.
  • In the whole Euro in/out debate ....we have not seen the big guns out yet......maybe look a week before the vote for the big hitters?
slide in Sterling value has to be a key risk factor in any exit scenario........who knows .......you go with your gut feel on this one folks.lets hope for a decent turnout as many seem fed up with the hype.
For what its worth my gut says 60/40 for Remain......similar to the Scottish vote on Independence
  • The comments re the triple lock are the surest sign yet that Cameron is panicing - I'm a lifelong tory voter but to have a tory leader being so negative about his own country is shocking - may Maggie rise up and haunt his sorry !!! for ever more. Sure - perhaps there will be a financial black hole if we leave the EU but to suggest that it will primarily affect pensioners and the unwell is pitiful. He should hang his fat head in shame.

Yes, regardless of the referendum result, the government of the next parliament will surely see sense and get rid of that costly gimmick.

I would vote remain, if I thought we would be in it properly, instead we get this halfway half in with all the bits that are worth having chopped off and all the bits they can screw us over with on.
