Sold for 4K under asking price. Very chuffed especially as it's £6k more than we sold before Brexit and a wishy washy buyer put us back on the market.0 -

We have 9 days left on our contract with our current EA. Then we are off the market until the New Year when we go back on with a new EA.0 -
Congrats fudge! great news! We completed on our sale October 28th. Currently living with mum - hoping to complete on our purchase on the 16th. We broke the chain and moved in with my mother because I couldn't risk our sale falling through.
Sorry to hear your news RavenQ - it is the most difficult thing I have ever done...I have read through my old posts on this thread and it gives me a really unsettled feeling in my tummy as I was really struggling with the no shows and the constant cleaning. Really hope you have good news in the new year. x0 -
Thanks everyone and congrats Fudge! I'm really hoping all goes smoothly here. We're looking but won't put in any offers till we've exchanged. Once bitten, many times shy...0

For some reason we have had an abundance of buy to let who want a house for next to nothing and I do know our house is worth more than that. As everyone on this board knows the buy to let brigade will never pay full price and where I live there's just a lot of them but thank you for your encouraging words
That hasn't been our experience luckily!
Ours was on the market for £85,000, its a mid terraced and the BTL people offered us £82,000 which we were happy enough with.Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110 -
Our house has been up for 5 months, we have our 4th viewing on Saturday. We live in a town in the North East, its in a central location, priced well but such little interest. The viewings we have had were people not in a position to even think about moving so that I find annoying! We aren't in a position to drop the price due to the ridiculous charge to leave the fixed term on our mortgage which isn't at an end until June 17.Dream of being mortgage free....
APR 2007 - £109,825 FEB 2012 - £98,664.53:beer:0 -
Looks like the comatose housing market up here has flat-lined for December.
EA suggested taking house of the market and relaunching in the new year with a price reduction.0 -
After being on the market since February we finally accepted an offer yesterday! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes through ok as we have already had one buyer go awol0
