Thanks for this post as I didn't know Tesco did a card like this...

I applied for this at the weekend and was successful. In fact I have received my pin already today.

    I have a £250 limit at 39.9%. I also have a cap one card (£200 limit) and a Marbles card (£100 limit!!)

    Onwards and upwards!!!

Looks like it's an annual review.
Quite possibly so, though I don't yet have the card I logged in last night and noticed there is a increase limit option, which I might try in a few months.

pin arrived today, maybe card tomorrow:cool:

Though no plans to spend anywhere near initial 250 limit.

  • Gives me a little confidence reading this thread i should get accepted.

Im debt free now everything paid in full - give the CRA two months to update everything then i'll apply for a tesco card.

This will be perfect one for food shopping and the other card for fuel.

Why delay applying, 27.5 apr is by far the best rate I've been accepted for considering my sc dmp.

  • few reasons: ive just cleared of JD Williams catalouge, cleared of argos card, cleared of Aqua.

Dont get me wrong balances were small but i was paying little more than minum payment to build history since October last year. Recently i got a Aqua credit increase this isnt snowing on the CRA yet.

I think if i wait two months i'll have a few more green and limit increase on record which will make me look better.

Just applied with 3 settled defaults going back 3 years and flat out decline. Spat my dummy out and requested an increase on my barclaycard from 3k to 5k to decrease utilisation instantly accepted. Don't understand these companies at all. Also cannot get a vanquis card applied 6 months ago. Only accepted by aqua and barclaycard. Quite bizarre trying to understand critic?

Which is why I say it's mostly a lottery, there has been people accepted for this tesco card with defaults etc but getting a better APR than I was accepted for without any defaults, just proves its all how the computer feels on the day.
