Could you live with pylons close by?

No, I wouldn't buy a house where the wires covered the majority of the garden. Perhaps if they just ran over a strip down the back, but not like this one.
And yes they do crackle in the rain.0 -
....and some people (yep...me...for instance...) actually quite like to stand and listen to the sound of the rain sometimes....so a bit of "crackle" with it would be a bit disconcerting....0

The pylons are unsightly, they will certainly be off putting to some people. But also as mentioned it seems dark inside and the back, with the largest windows, is north facing and in shadow. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

So much for the facts. We already know that the photos aren't the best, but it's a wide bungalow and these do come with light issues, so you might still be correct.
I like a kitchen/diner that faces north or east myself. It's also useful to have some shade if there are young children, who don't want to be fried by UV on a patio.*
*Obviously of an age before they can be annihilated by playing football under the power lines, as we read about all the time in the media.0 -
It looks like the internal photos were taken on a rainy day so the contrast between light and dark is much more noticeable.
There are plenty of windows I don't think it will really be as dark as it looks when it's bright outside and how often do we really get bright days. On a bright day I would rather be in the garden enjoying the sunlight and not worrying about how bright the living room is.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

I am not sure that I would like all those lines directly over my garden. Nice house inside but the outside is not to my taste.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

running near house...perhaps
running over back garden...no chance0 -
At least this house has only the wires over the garden. At least the pylon itself is down the road. Another recent thread linked to a house with the pylon in the garden.
A football touching a wire won't do jack. One, it is extremely hard to hit a small target that is so high. I have tried myself as a boy. Two, the ball won't be somehow dangerously electrified when it comes down any more than blackbirds are.0 -

I didn't think you'd be the one to take my bait!
There's at least one poster on this thread sees it as a threat, but then there's another who thinks one can't grow trees under them either.0 -

Heh heh, thanks, I'll take that as a compliment
No, I was replying to this post, probably the same one which inspired you to bait:usefulmale wrote: »I wouldn't want my kids in that garden with a football.0
