Just a query re. mayoral election/economy

The London mayor elections are IMO not represenetivie of 'Londoners' becuase it does not take into account the views/votes of those who work in London but don't live in London.
I don't know how big a number that is but maybe its as much as a million people. They should be able to vote in the London mayor eletrions too as crime transport housing planning and economic development within london are all important to them.
I don't know how it can be done but a London workers vote needs to be taken into account too else its not reresentotive of the people who work and live in London

Boris Got 51.5% Goldsmith got 43.1%, not 35%
Yes Goldsmith lost.
The point I was making is that Boris just won by a tiny bit and that was against ken I will accept barrels of oil from a 3rd world trash economy to run our buses.
The second point I was making is that London elections (for mayor and even MPs) are not really representative of those who live and work in London.
The 35% was for the first round vote - Johnson's was apparently 44% for first round (was presented slighly differently on Wikipedia hence the confusion).
You were implying Goldsmith's electoral results were somehow close to Johnson's by ignoring the low turnout in 2012. Either way you look at it, Khan's margin over Goldsmith is massive. If anything, the second round voting results are even less flattering as Khan's majority is proportionally greater.
I don't care for Livingston or Khan myself, but I don't think the average person on the street gives a toss about where the fuel for London buses comes from."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
most Londoners are foreign born
Really? Even the Daily Mail says one third, although there are places in London that are higher. The foreign born population is not due to be a majority until 2031:

the 2011 census gave a figure of 37% of Londoners as being foreign born.
Making reasonable guesses as to the increase in immigration since then (say 0.5 - 1 million in London) plus the number missed in the census plus illegals then a figure of over 50% is reasonable.0 -
I voted for the One Love Party as a joke, knowing nothing about them. It turns out they are like the Greens but even pottier!0

Hmm - turns out that the freeze on tfl fares was nothing of the sort and prices will go up via inflation and there will still be 640m less investment. If you are foolish enough to vote for empty promises then you can't complain when reality intrudes.I think....0
