Just got a delivery of some soaps from a lady I know who has a little business (well, she tries) making and selling them. But she always get something wrong...... about half the time I dont' pay cause she sends me new flavours to try and thats how she pays me to update her website...... but it frustrates me! Cause it makes me wonder if she screws up on anyone elses order, too. She is a lovely dippy lady, and is a hoot but.......0

Hi again,
W*** wasn't too bad today - managed to keep myself busy for the whole four hours. Have been to the supermarket for a small top-up shop and got petrol while I was there so I'm all set for the weekend and can avoid the supermarkets. :j
frogga I'm not prone to weighing myself every day. I jumped on the scales because I can actually feel a difference and was curious to know just how much weight I had lost. I promise I won't weigh myself until Saturday. :A
shez well done on going to the gym. You have to be consistent to get your money's worth. As for the people who just chat - I took DS and DD swimming when we were in Scotland. When we got there, there were about 20 "senior citizens" (not sure what the politically correct term is these days  ) in the pool. Not one of them was swimming. :rotfl: They all stood round the sides of the pool gossiping for about 40 minutes then they had a 5 minute swim and left! I suppose it gets you out of the house.
haribo bad luck re DDs school shoes, coat et al! Won't be cheap to replace. Kids, don't you just love them.
dannahaz are you planning on selling all of your baking or is it for friends and family? I can take any spare if you have to get rid of some.
odds had to laugh at "Proud to be Scottish"! It is soooo true!
It's a beautiful afternoon here so I have a big load of washing in the machine and hopefully I will get it dried on the line. Dinner will be steak pie for DS and DD and fish for me with mash and veg. Need to do some tidying round too as DD is leaving a trail of destruction behind her each day when she comes home from school. That habit will be broken verrrrrry quickly.
So glad tomorrow is Friday - but boss is going on holiday (for the second time in three weeks!) on Saturday so I will be on my own next week. I'm so jealous. Have really missed having a proper holiday this year. Will try to budget for one next year."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Afternoon all,
Got my hair cut this morning so I now look less like a woolly mammoth than I did...hope that the shape will stay for a while, as it cost me €42! Feels much lighter so that should help with weigh in on Saturday. OH and I met a friend for lunch, they had chicken pie and quiche respectively both of which came with 3 fresh, delicious salads...I was an angel and only had the salads...we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sun...felt like Italy except that all we had to drink was water!
Kyle...all will be well, take the advise of people who have been there and done that.
Pen Pin, JackieO and Computerwoman, hugs and hope that you will all be feeling better soon.
Going to have left over spag bol with salad for supper and then eat most of the mango that is in the fridge...just DGS2 and me this evening, might start with some houmus with hm bread....will have to water the garden then as there hasn't been much rain over the last week. Mangetout are cropping so well that we could eat some every day.
Had a good look round the Avoca shop where we had lunch for ideas for Christmas gifts...spotted Rick Stein's Mediterranean one which would be ideal for OH for his birthday, I think that RS is his favourite tv chef...he has been known to watch his programmes umpteen times so think that might be a good idea...love that shop but the prices can be horrendous for me anyway!
Have a lovely evening everyone
