Good Morning all! Took me forever to get across London yesterady. I took at taxi as the tube was so full - traffic was so bacd it cost me £30. I only like 1 stylist to cut me hair once the extensions have been sorted and had to wait for him, so didn't leave the salon until 6:45. Had a bite, and then didn't get to the station unitl 8:20, - the tube was still manic, but wasn't going to get a taxi. So had to wait 55 min for the next train. Got home at 10:45. I did splurge and bought my DH a large bouquet of flowers - he loved tham - freesia, gerbera, roses and lilies in reds + yellows. He has been a saint the last 3 months with my foot and me being off work.
And I was good yesterday - I had no chocolate, crisps or sweets at all, and i usually do when travelling passenger on a train. I bought a bag of pumpkin sunflower, soy + pinenut seeds instead and had a small portion of them.
Jam jars haven't come yet........
DH is off to nottingham for 4 days next week, so I got to keep myself busy, and I'm going to see how well I do on my eating as well - he wont' be here and we are getting the same size veg box - maybe I'll go veggie next week.
Have a good day, everyone!

Good Morning Everyone,
college has been fun and educational this week i am off today and tomorrow so will be catching up on household chores, shopping and doing my homework.
computerwoman you really have been having a real tough time of late i hope your doctors appointment goes well.
Amie i hope school goes well for your DD
Jackieo i hope your arm recovers a bit and doesnt give you too much trouble or pain.
Scuzz your boss sounds a nightmare i can relate to that particular problem but i did the wrong thing and left my job for another one which was worse, in hindsight i should have stuck it out and rose above my demon boss.
dlb, my youngest cherub is now 17 and went back to school recently and alothought you have a child free house during the day you will have no idea where the day goes, i still wonder at times how i managed when the kids were all small and at home with me all day, i suppose i was simply better organised back then.
Taplady commiserations to your DOH re not getting the job, the right job will be his eventually.
well i better get off this computer and go play catch up with all the chores i hope everyone has a fantastic day.
kindest regards to all

Morning all,
Nothing in store for today so I might do some baking for Mr Frog and the Tadpoles. As long as I don't " have a lick too!"
Mrs M well done , you are SO virtuous , looking forward to seeing how well you've done this week. I'm contemplating weighing myself on Sat am too , but knowing how much the scales affect my mood it might be a bad idea. In my head I feel really thin as I've been good all week, but when I get on the scales, even if I've lost LOADS I'll be gutted as the reality is I'm still twice the weight that I should be. Think I'll only do it monthly so I can see a big difference. Please don't fall into the trap of continuos weighing annie xxx When I was annorexic I used to weigh myself at least twice a day. It's a really bad habit to get into. Hope the rest of you on the campaign are doing well. KEEP IT GOING! xx
Hopping off now,the lillypad needs cleaning and I've got slugs to catch for tea xxxSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hi everyone
Not posted since the day after my surgery as I've been so exhausted and sitting at the computer is too painful.
I'm feeling a bit brighter today and am going to the hairdresser this afternoon which will be a treat. I need a funky new studenty look.... Oh well, maybe just a trim.
Frogga - you're so right about the weighing yourself thing. I'm on a strict diet too (medically essential) and I've been on and off the scales like a yoyo. Last night in despair I got OH to get out of bed and put the bl**dy scales in the car so that he can hide them at work. I'll be weighed at the hospital five weeks today and that will be soon enough.
Not been very OS in the last week or two but I'm back on track today - making goulash for tea using cheap meat so will get it on early and it will be lovely and tender.

Saw this and cried I laughed so hard!
Proud to be Scottish:
Being Scottish is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a
Belgian beer, then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or
aTurkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch
American shows on a Japanese TV.
And the most Scottish thing of all? Suspicion of all things foreign!
Only in Scotland can a pizza get to your house faster than an
ambulance.
Only in Scotland do supermarkets make sick people walk all the way to
the back of the shop to get their prescriptions while healthy people
can buy cigarettes at the front.
Only in Sotland do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and
a DIET coke.
Only in Scotland do banks leave both doors open and chain the pens to
the counters.
Only in Scotland do we leave cars worth thousands of pounds on the
drive and lock our junk and cheap lawn mower in the garage.
Only in Scotland do we use answering machines to screen calls and
then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't
want to talk to in the first place.
Only in Scotland are there disabled parking places in front of a
skating rink.
NOT TO MENTION..
3 Scots die each year testing if a 9v battery works on their tongue.
142 Scots were injured in 1999 by not removing all pins from new
shirts.
58 Scots are injured each year by using sharp knives instead of
screwdrivers.
31 Scots have died since 1996 by watering their Christmas tree while
the fairy lights were plugged in.
19 Scots have died in the last 3 years believing that Christmas
decorations were chocolate.
Scottish Hospitals reported 4 broken arms last year after Xmas
cracker-pulling accidents.
18 Scots had serious burns in 2000 trying on a new jumper with a lit
cigarette in their mouth.
A massive 543 Scots were admitted to A&E in the last two years after
trying to open bottles of beer with their teeth.
5 Scots were injured last year in accidents involving out-of-control
Scalextric cars.
and finally...
In 2000 eight Scots were admitted to hospital with fractured skulls
incurred whilst throwing up into the toilet.
If you're proud to be a Scot, send this on!

Morning all, another lovely day!
<<Hugs>> to those who are under the weather, recovering from ops, or just feeling that you need one.
Have a great holidat Kathy, I'll miss you and your posts xxxx
Yesterday I prepared the mix for 16 pints of christmas pudding, 6 pounds of mincemeat, and put the fruit in to soak for two iced cakes.
The mincemeat is in the oven as I type, and I've spent this morning putting the puddings into basins and tying on greasproof and foil lids. I'll put them on to steam this afternoon, and it takes 8 hours. While they are steaming I'll make two iced cakes today, and put the final lot of alchohol in the fruit for the 6 Creole cakes which are stewing nicely in my fridge.
I've done all the washing up, and am just trying to work up the energy to get the steamers out to get them ready for this afternoon.
I'm trying the Arasys inch loss treatment this afternoon, first of a course of 10 sessions. It's not at all OS, but I don't care. Well, I do care, but I'm justifying it to myself that I've saved so much money in the last couple of years and I deserve it.
Before I go there I'm taking something bag to Lakeland under their satisfaction guarantee. I emailed their customer service department, who said that the shop will take it back even though I don't have the packaging etc. I hope so, as it cost me £100. I feel really cheeky though, and I keep telling myself that if they make a fuss I just won't go into the shop anymore. I also tell myself that if I was doing this for a friend I wouldn't hesitate!
Right, must get on.
Have a good day all
