Well having finally got DD off to school this morning my plans to clean the house and have a big declutter are on hold whilst i have a brew and come on here to catch up and calm down. DD is having a 'i'm 5 going on 15 and i know everything' day and didn't listen to a thing i told her this morning, wanted Daddy to do everything. Don't mind me, i just cook, clean and wash day in day out but Daddy is the hero lol
Going to Argos in a bit to buy a new chest of drawers and some vacu bags etc, DP is moving in permanantly and we are trying to merge all our stuff into my little tiny house cos our new house wont be ready for months yet. Thats why i want the big decluttering done asap - will get started in a bit i promise!

D - something on toast for me, DD at school, DP working

Good morning everyone,
kyle - ((HUGS)) im sure everything will be fine on holiday, they are so accomadating at Disney, im sure any problems you might have will be dealt with well. I wish we were coming with you, we love it there (hopefully with the help of Mr T we will be going again soon!!!)
moilere - HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TOMORROW - have a lovely time, both for you birthday and your trip to your French home xxx
Also wanted to say WELL DONE to all those losing weight - i weigh more now than i did when i was pregnant with DS (and prob DD for that matter) but im not sure why i weigh so much, as i dont look that big (as long as i cant see my backside, im happy!!! think its all round there!!) - i do have to see my consultant next week at the hospital, so might ask him, never had these probs until they put me on the steroids, and i havnt taken them for 2 years now, apart from the infusions i had before having my wisdom tooth out. Depending on what he says, depends on if i join the challenge!
((HUGS)) computerwoman and Penny Pincher xxx
General hugs to anyone who wants or needs one too xxx
Well, my 2 have gone back to school today, i hate it when they go back to school, as i love having them home. It will be nice to get back into a routine tho.
LO that ive looked after since she was 5 months old also started school today - i met her mum and dad at the school, it brought a lump to my throat to see her looking so grown up, im picking her up at 12 (she goes half days this week and next week, then she goes full time) so will be nice to see how she got on.
WM is on with its second load, BM on and first load already hung out - just need to go and do the bins now.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hello Folks :hello:
Haven't been around for a while as life has been getting in the way again but it's nice to be back.Nice to see all the new faces on the daily but why is everyone weighing themselves??
Lots of oldies missing too... Where are Racy, Queenie, Moggins, PenPen et al??
I had a really hectic summer and got out of the way of logging on here but I have been keeping up with my OS ways (mostly)and now I am back to groundhog day with the girls back to school on 16th August and me back to work. I have been working from home a bit too which has it's advantages but I do tend to spend more time cooking and cleaning that sat at the computer doing important stuff for my lovely OH.
:shhh:  :silenced:
I've been harvesting the veg from the garden in recent weeks and deciding what I'll do again and what I won't bother with next year. And my freezer is bulging as I'm trying to cook double almost every night and freeze half. The idea is to have the frozen stuff on standby for busy days but I seem to be keeping it for when I have a bad health week instead.
I'm in the office at the mo but before I left DW, Wm, BM and YM were all whirring away and beds were made and floors cleaned downstairs. Will finish work at 2pm then hit Tesco. Have promised the girls HM pizza and a DVD tonight. Their behaviour has been awful since going back to school so I'm hoping some [STRIKE]bribery[/STRIKE] positive reinforcement will motivate them to give me a break. DTwin1 is on her 2nd pair of school shoes in two weeks and has lost her gym shorts, water bottle and one pink coat.
Haven't really caught up with everyone but.....
Kyle... It will be wonderful so try not to worry too much
JackieO... Glad to see that indomitable spirit hasn't been quashed. :T
Computerwoman.... I hope your luck has changed. You deserve a break.
Happy holiday Kathy!!!
Hope everyone has a great Thursday!!!

Morning Guys!
Thanks for all the well wishes:D ...although still feeling rough, I feel a little more with it today and have just got back from the hospital...again:rolleyes: I was looking trough some posts I posted over a year ago and not much has changed...not improved anyway and its so depressing at times. I am still breathing though, so I cant moan!! I am lucky that I have a great partner and a great DD.
Anyway....life goes on. Second washload is on ATM and the other has been hung out to dry. The bedding has all been changed by the cleaner and has lovely and clean, so that was nice to come back too.
OH won another competition of an Organic T-shirt. Its really lovely and bright green...he loves funky and unusual tops...fits him perfectly. So thats 3 wins to date...totalling about £325:j :j :j
OH popped to TKmaxx yesterday and bought some mega bargains in the final clearance section. He bought a pair of Top Designer linen trousers (UK size 4:eek: )...RRP £555:eek:      ....reduced to £2:beer: .....of course those are going on Ebay. Have looked and hoping for around £30+...also a couple of other bits that will go on there which cost 70p and we bought a new lamp for the lounge which was reduced to £6. He was dead chuffed with himself. OH has said that what he sells the items for...he is buying me a present with it as its my birthday next week.....I hope they make more than £30 then:rotfl:
Anyway, I am rambling.
Hugs to all.
PP
xx
Kyle-Get your mum to give you my MSN details and I can go through some stuff with you for your holiday to Florida. I have been quite a few times with medical conditions/medication etc and know the best ways to get dealt with over there. You will be fine though...honestly!!To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0 -
Well, I've made a batch of pancakes for diner tonight, freshened the sourdough starter, watered the plants, hung out 1 load of clothes, got another one on, hung up on a sales call, have got 1 cat following me around inside, outside, all around the house, have chicken bones roasting in the oven to make stock with, might tidy the LR as we have company coming over for dinner tomorrow night......
and will you lot remind me to take my calcium pills with dinner tonight???0 -
just popped in during a coffee break!:D
got 6 portions of lasagne in the oven, some for tea tonight and some for the freezer, smells yummy!
Nearly reached for the biscuit tin cos I was a bit fed up about DH not getting the job but managed to stay clear and had a banana instead!;)

Been to the library, am waiting for some bits from ebay to come, cannot use the designs I have downloaded onto my lap top until they do come....frustrating...........
We saw our resident gossip as we went to the library, we go up on the bus saves fuel and we both have free passes............ I was hoping she had not seen us, not such luck......'oh no car today?' no we use the bus for short journeys.........why I had to quailfy the no I just do not know, but I did....by the time we got back it would have been all round the building!!!!!!!!!!!! just waiting for someone to tell me we went to the library...........
The sunny morning has gone, its now dull and overcast. I needed some meths to clean the bed of my machine with, asked in Boots, they are a chemist and do not sell meths, got it in the paint department at Wilko's...so now I can clean the gunky mess off........
Not sure whats for lunch today but gammon, baked tomato's and salad for supper.........
I weighed myself this morning have lost......wait for it..........1lb!!!!!!!!!!!!I have been looking for an over 50's exercise class can I find one....no........so it looks like over 50's stagnate and get fat in this City. Cannot afford to go to a slimming club..........especially now I have bought the new machine.September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

Because they've over-indulged in Twink's hobnobs over the summer and now they're paying for it.Well........we all know who to blame don't we.
