Wow that's a lot of ingredients maman!

I just use a rub on my pork and then make the normal SW BBQ sauce to pour over the meat when it's done. I don't like to cook it in the sauce as the meat juices ruin it.. The link to the recipe I use is on the front page of the thread.

Might not be as tasty though with less ingredients.

Love that your having birthday drinks with Lantanna :rotfl: hope everyone else joins you for a glass to honour the birthday girl! _party_

Great losses lush and Tete :T :T amazing first week loss to lulu :T

I'm jealous of your pod at the doctors debjay, I want a high tech doctors like that! the only thing we have is the screen to check yourself in at...

e.t.a. Just watched that couples weight loss programme (Lose for Love or something) I really liked the pair of them, but then I do love that accent.. glad they've done well. I liked his spreadsheet too Flateric, I imagine it would be easy to knock up in principle but hard to use throughout the day as you wouldn't be always at your computer and the list of free foods etc you would need to include would be massive!

Oh my, I have really gone off plan these last two days. I will try and be on tomorrow. I gave up yesterday and today I was fine until dinner when I had fish fingers instead of plain fish.:D:D

I will post my menu plan tomorrow :cool:: :)

I can recommend the 2CC salt and pepper chicken. It's delish - just like a takeaway.
    Feeling very full and virtuous.

Yesterday was definitely completely off plan! Probably had a whole week's worth of syns! Will try to keep syns low this week.

Only ate a little bit of a fryup - bacon, scrambled eggs, beans & mushrooms.

Felt full all day and have just had an omelette as thought I ought to eat something so wanted something light.

Happy birthday Lantanna:bdaycake: - don't eat it all at once.

It's quite good Shala but simple really. It's a scales plus a cuff type thing for blood pressure. They are linked to a computer which logs it for your records. Just thought it could be an option for wiggles if she couldn't get to a group but didn't have scales at home.

Weigh in was Wednesday and I lost 9.5lbs!! Absolutely over the moon so I'm determined to do well this week, 4.5lbs and I get my stone award!

That's amazing lulu. Very well done!:T

Thanks maman :) ideally I want to be sitting somewhere around 11st 10lb (2 stone down from when I bought the dress) at the time of my fitting which will be around the second week of August so another 18.5lb to shift to get there :) aiming for my old target of 10st 10 over all (may drop it to 10 7 as I get closer) but I'm not pressuring myself to get there before the wedding as I'm sure there will be a familymoon gain and then there's time after we get back to chase target down before Christmas :)

That's almost exactly my weightloss journey. I went from about 13st 10 to my target weight of 10st 7. I'm happier at 10st 3 but I know if I dropped my target it would be a struggle, not to get there but to stay there. I've managed to stay at 10st 7 for almost 5 years!

Celery salt is really nice to dip boiled eggs in or mixed into egg mayo. I often put a bit in soups and couscous too. It adds depth to things like bay leaves do iyswim - it doesn't taste like bay though.

That's a good way of looking at it midge. I could add in onion or celery and take them out before serving just like bay leaves.

It's not an American recipe shala. I think it's slimming eats (or is that American?). I've read your recipe on Page 1. The only thing that put me off is the brown sugar. Maybe I'll try yours first and then, if needed, buy in the stuff for the other recipe.

At the moment I'm just gathering information as I have Lidl pulled beef in the freezer to use up. Thanks all.:)

Interestingly today, I thought I'd have a look for spices while I was doing my shop. Sainsbury's now seem only to sell Schwartz herbs and spices. Nothing own brand on the shelves. So much for dropping brand match in favour of lower prices.

Just a quick question, how do you syn wine you are cooking with? I have put at least two glasses into a beef dish, and whilst the alcohol will cook off, what about the rest etc. I have said 2 syns as the amount of meat I have used is huge so pro-rata it can't be much more....?
    Arkers x

I've always assumed the sys for wine in cooking would be the same as if you were drinking it.:( So the syns would depend whether you were going on the old or new values. I allow about 8.5 for a 250ml glass but that's in old money.
