Hello the NTK arrived today - it looks like I am going to have give away that I was driving the car. I thought I may write to them saying I don't know if the car was there that day or not, no ticket was ever issued and could they provide evidence. Maybe then they will send me what they have . Any thoughts on this approach?

Why the heck do you think that? We said JUST to send the usual challenge and NOTHING ELSE. No other ill-advised 'appeal'.

ok so I sent off the template letter from the newbie section and they ignored its content and wrote back saying they may take me to court and my option to pay less has elapsed. I have filed the letter and now await the court summons.

Rejection was inevitable. Now likely to get a stream of debt collector letters, possibly a LBA/LBCCC from a solicitor. Come back if you get a LBA (not debt collector letters) or real court papers.

Good news ........ so far! Don't fall asleep on this. Unfortunately they have the balance of 6 years to pursue this to court and who knows what they will do between now and 2022.

For what it's worth, my view is that a 'Parent and Child' case would be a harder gig for a PPC to prosecute than, say, an overstay or fail to pay case. I've never read of a P&C county court case yet.

And UKCPS have done something wrong (we assume) because they are currently suspended from their ATA the IPC and can't get DVLA access to data for new PCNs. Not the best repututation parking firm on this forum!

Hopefully they have more to worry about than old PCNs but keep everything for six YEARS, just in case of a late surge at court, like Excel and VCS are doing five/six years later...

It could well be their ambivalent attitude to v.a.t. Did you raise the question with them at anytime, or report them to the Tax Evasion Hotline?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
