You mean write to them rejecting the ticket and talk about using the IAS.? At which point they will give me all their evidence?

    Sorry, need to rewind.

I was mixing your thread up with another one at a more advanced stage. Yes, you need firstly to appeal to UKCPS and get an almost inevitable rejection before you can make any contact with the IAS. So put 'registering intent' on hold for the moment.

You need to use the initial appeal template for IPC members from post #1 of the newbies sticky (NOT the one in blue text). and send that off first class post with a free certificate of posting from the PO counter. Don't just launch it into a random post box, nor send 'Signed For' because they can refuse receipt.

Looking much further ahead - UKCPS are mildly litigious - their specialist subject is parking in Disabled Bays without a blue badge. But, as far as I can recall, I've never read of a court case where any PPC has pursued a Parent & Child parking space case.

Thank you should I do this now or when they write to me?

Have you checked what the newbies sticky tells you about the timing of sending in your initial appeal?

Sorry, but we can't keep answering one-liners that already have coverage in the newbies sticky. It's all there, it just needs time to go through it and digest its contents. Written by Coupon-mad, one of the country's foremost experts on private parking issues, you won't get better or more comprehensive advice anywhere.

ha yes, I did read all that and I have one last question. As my PCN was from UK CPS ltd who use IAS which the newbie sticker thread suggests I don't bother with as I will lose. Why don't I just ignore the PCN as the result will be the same as appealing? Or will the result differ?
The bottom of your very own signature says "DO NOT IGNORE PARKING CHARGES" but if I engage and appeal they still chase me for the money .

You will have at least engaged in the process, rather than ignore it entirely. At least by showing that you have done some research and you are likely getting forum help, they may not view you as low-hanging fruit and ripe for picking for a court case.

No guarantees one way or the other - but placing your marker might sway things your way a bit.

You're correct in terms of IAS, but don't make your mind up on that just yet. One step at a time.

I would be inclined to engage in their appeal process. Not only does it cost them money, but the anonymous travesty of justice that follows can be used to see them off if it ever got to court.

Hello the NTK arrived today - it looks like I am going to have give away that I was driving the car. I thought I may write to them saying I don't know if the car was there that day or not, no ticket was ever issued and could they provide evidence. Maybe then they will send me what they have . Any thoughts on this approach?

Have you read the newbies sticky? It's all explained there.
