Just a quick wave from the sofa. I am rather tired - I have been up to the hospital three times this week. Infection is slowly clearing, but they have had to extend the course of antibiotics... and today I went back for yet another swab...

Everything ticking over here. DD2 has been in daily to clean and dress the infection site. She has been amazing. I doubt DH would've coped...

Back to hospital on Monday for blood tests. But otherwise hoping to have a relaxing weekend - fingers crossed.

Love, hugs and Flylady vibes to all...

Hugs CY sounds like a tiresome week. Hope you manage a restful weekend xx

Made a dent in the laundry... And tonight I've made a dent in a bottle of Bordeaux :D well they made me watch sp0ngebob and I can't cope with it entirely sober :rotfl:

Just had a rather hysterical bedtime (in a laughing way), those kiddies were rather giddy tonight, it did make me laugh.

I've scrubbed the arms of the DW with a toothbrush - there was a tiny bit of plastic wrapping caught in one of the holes - so I've pulled that out and given the DW another try. Fingers crossed it helps - although might have a whole new kitchen in a couple of months!!!

I sorted my new shelf baskets, and made more mess, but found 2 more toys for DS to think about letting go - he's obviously not missed them...

I'm getting an early night tonight - just bushed!

Morning all. Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend, esp CY.

Up early with OldDog as usual. She hasn't had a walk since Tuesday. She sees the lead and just goes and lies in her bed. I'm thinking of getting a doggy stroller but I may just look like a mad woman. She's on form this morning though, quite lively and playful so I'll see if she want to come for a slow steady short walk soon.

I've been MIA for a couple of days but have been flying and doing the paid stuff.

Today is busy as there are two village events to attend and I have to prepare sandwiches for one of them. I haven't even bought the bread yet.

Right, best get moving then. Catch you all later.
Spend less now, work less later.

I've got a hangover. Drank a few too many big glasses of wine last night and have a teeny-weeny headache this morning...I know, self-inflicted, so no sympathy!

My house downstairs is trashed. The builders are down to mud under the floors, the archaeologist wants to come back next week and dig about and the dust upstairs is unreal. I did shut all the doors, but it still got through. I'll be flying next week for sure!

    Morning all.

Hugs, sticks, spoons & vibes to all :D

CY - Hope you have a more relaxing weekend and that infection leaves smartish!!

Ex will be here in little over an hour and this house needs cleaning top to bottom. I've filled Zack small K0ng with his favourite treats (cheese & liver pate) padded out with some of his kibble and I've put it in the freezer. We're going to test the theory that if he's in the kitchen with his bed, tent (kids pop up play house he goes in when there's workmen here) and a nice treat he won't go ballistic at a man being in the livingroom. :o He sees ex every week so this is just a trial run in the hopes that maybe I can start having people round occasionally without having to resort to us sitting in my bedroom like teenagers :rotfl:

Time to see what's left on the list...which appears to be fully intact almost :o

I'm back again. Lots of "they had to be done" jobs done, but no where near the entire list yet. The plan for Zack worked and he's now made up having his tent & bed in the livingroom along with some toys he hasn't seen for a while. :j Next time though I think we need to use the bigger k0ng :rotfl:

Now while DD is out, apart from carrying on with the laundry, I'm going to sit and read my book for a bit while its reasonably quiet. I can't do any more cleaning as we've run out of clean cloths and I'm in the middle of washing the dogs bed so they have to wait :p Lunch and book time

Wow, the shed is nearly emptied! We are well ahead of where I thought we'd be; just the recycling boxes/bags, lawnmower, strimmer, electric extension cable on a reel and workmate to find temporary homes for. :T Most of the rest - garden tools, pots, compost, chemicals and the outdoor table and chairs have been either tucked into the sides of the shed where the mobility buggy lives, or boxed up and stored in the loft for now.

Did yet another hanky wash this morning; bedlinen also washed; and Mr LW has done a good job of scrubbing most of the bathroom.

We were going to have omelette for dins, but there's not enough cheese (farmers market is tomorrow) so I'll make egg fried rice instead.
*looks at clock* Better go and get that started, or I'll have Mr LW whinging that he's hungry. :D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

LW well done with your shed-emptying. I have officially 'registered' for the garage sale next week, so this afternoon we have been sizing up what is in there and have already ditched a load of stuff destined for the tip tomorrow.
    - bedlinen changed, washed, dry
    - did about an hour's cleaning in the church (probably more than I've done in my house for the last few days).
    - done a load of weeding
    - swept and mopped kitchen floor
-washed church duster thingy, plus kitchen floor mat while we had hot water (aga not fixed yet so still no oven or heating, so using immersion).
    - filled bird feeders again
    - watered greenhouse stuff
    - up here now ostensibly doing uni work but actually have checked emails, done MFP and checked flythread.

2 bits of C news. The good is that my great-nephew has had the follow up scan from his brain surgery, and he is clear of the bu**er. His eyesight is impaired, but he is back at school and just needs regular MRI scans for the next 10 yrs.

The bad, a canine one, is that my friend /neighbour just found out her beautiful dog has bone cancer and will be sent over the rainbow next Friday. He is about 6, she's had him since a puppy and he went to Crufts last month, also been training to do search and rescue (he's about the size of a grizzly bear but so gentle). It is so sad.

I had a letter from the NHS today giving me a date towards the end of May for a scan (ultrasound) on my shoulder.

    Hugs to all
