Thank you to Piggers for last week's thread :D

Do not lose heart if you cannot keep up with everyone else or reading the thread, don't try to reply to everyone and please remember to include something about flying in all your posts.

Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!
WM ~ Washing machine
TD ~ Tumble dryer
SC ~ Slowcooker
BM ~ Breadmaker
DW ~ Dishwasher
SOAADFA ~ Sit on 'bottom' and do 'nothing'
KH/XH/FW ~ Ex-husband and other not so polite versions
DH/DD/DS/DW/DP ~ Dear husband/daughter/son/wife/partner/whatever

Toxic (friend/mother/sister/whoever) ~ person in your life that seems to exist to make your life miserable
AF ~ Aunt Flo 'time of the month'.. nothing to do with flying but it comes up often.
ETA ~ Editted to add
gibble ~ miscellaneous crap that appears forever homeless
Dot-to-dot ~ pick a small area (not a whole room) like a chair/coffee/table/shelf/worktop or wherever- thats your first 'dot' - totally clear it - clean it - and only put back what should be there - deal with what you have removed (not just move it somewhere else) then if you have time move on and do the same to another 'dot' -the idea is just like a dot to dot puzzle, you aim to join up all the dots and have a tidy room. The trick is to keep each dot tidy until you get them all joined up!
RoD ~ Room of Doom, the one room that feels like it is a permanent pit and cannot be used to its potential!
Mr S/A/T/M/L/Al - supermarkets Sainsburys, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi. You get the picture!!

Thank you to Natty for the new thread and to pigpen for last week's.

 to your electrical problems, Dizzy. I hope the insurers pay out generously.

Today I have crossed another job off my Toots list - replacing the flexible pipe from the downpipe to one of the water butts :D Once I got my head round it, it took me all of 10 minutes from start to finish :o
The study bedroom looks much better now that I've finished clearing the piles of papers off the bed.
I've thrown out a lot of rubbishy paper
    I mowed the lawn yesterday.
I've sat through two church AGMs today.

    Tomorrow I must
    - do some reading
    - write and post/deliver 2 cards
    - go shopping in the next town
    - do some washing
    - plant things out in the garden
    - pick up everyone's fish'n'chip supper on my way to the Old Wives' group

Hope everyone has a good week. (((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed x

    I'm in, thanks for lists.
Tomorrow will be mainly trying to catch up on my reports.
Also got 2 people coming round to relieve us of 2 boxes of 78rpm records which have been cluttering up the garage for years.
Must try to work out a new exercise program now I'm banned from stuff involving my shoulder. Plus do the shoulder exercises set by the physio.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Good evening everyone, Hope everyone is well, sorry I have not had time to catch up with the thread from last week.

I spent most of today catching up with the laundry and luckily it was a nice sunny day therefore it has all been dried outside. This week I will be working from my own list, as I have so much that I need to try and get done.

    Check online banking
Wipe the table, replace cloth if needed

    Speak to dh regarding July
Sort out 2 debts that are needing dealt with - Make dreaded phone calls
    Do meal plan for May
Pair up pile of socks and put them away
    Write a blog post
    Cut the grass
Spend 3 hours on course work
    Close chickens away before dark
    Sort through emails
    Collect the kids from childminder

I think that is everything that I need to get done tomorrow, for now however it is time to get some sleep. Night all x

    Evening all

Thanks for last week's thread Pigpen and thanks for this week's Natty

Hope the insurance coughs up for all the leccy work Dizzy. I'm sorry but it made me smile a little - sounds like the older places in Spain (if you've ever looked at their wiring)

I wouldn't worry about being too late with planting Kaz, as with the weather forecasted so cold it's better things aren't planted out or growing yet. I'd throw some cloches over the soil, wait for the weather to improve, then start planting. Plants are very good at catching up when the conditions are right ;)

Hope all going better for you CY and the anti-bacs do their job quickly

Congratulations Valli and your family on the new addition

CY hope you are doing OK and the infection is clearing up x

Sounds like you had a super weekend Bossy and well done master moo

Love starting the week with the kitchen :) I have some washing to do as well.

Thanks for the list Natty, I'm in after a fashion. :p

Dentist tomorrow morning so I'm not expecting to get much done afterwards due to the amount of local anaesthetic will probably make me sleepy based on last time :( I need to go buy some paracetamol from Mr A before I go and I need to drop books off at the school so it'll be an early start for me.

    This week:
    Laundry
    Phone VIP line
    Book Mr A delivery
    Take birthday gifts to niece
    Update finances
    Toots list jobs x2
    Level 1 each day M T W T F
    Cut DD's fringe!

Mon: Text niece via sister, DD at choir?
Tue: Delivery x 2, DD at club
    Wed:
Thu: Collect books, DD at club
Fri : Delivery, DD at club?

Right, I'm off to take my last dose of meds for today and then bed. Hopefully I can get up at 6am tomorrow and get stuck in.

Morning ladies - up at some unearthly hour this morning, but have crawled back into bed to catch up on the news...

Valli - congratulations on the safe arrival of baby Jack :smileyhea

Nicki - hope the dentist goes OK. Fingers crossed for you x

Thank you all for the support over the electrical wiring "shock" (sorry, just had to...) I remain optimistic that they will be generous towards me, as so far they have actually been quite wonderful. Got confirmation on Friday that they have agreed to the estimated £8K  to uplift the ground floors and start preparation work.

Caravan is minging as skids have been here for the weekend, so will be sorting that today.

Hugs to those in need and sticks also x

Lynne, I've just seen the weather forecast for this week and it says snow / hail for this area! if that happens I am glad I've not planted anything.

Thank you ladies for the threads.

    I will attempt the lists.

So far Wm is on, bed is stripped, sewing box at the ready to put 4 different buttons back on.
