Just popping in to stay in touch.
I have been horribly busy in work so have barely had time to think. On a positive note that also means I have barely had time to spend on non-essentials so everything is on track. I have been making my lunch for work too as I don't always know when I can get away from my desk.
I have some financial management / spreadsheet fiddling to do this weekend as I have to move money out of pots like the school uniform fund to my credit card as I have now bought everything and my CC is scary.
We bought the elder Gnomeboy a laptop for school which came in under budget as it it had a one year subscription to office included.
I think this month will be about sorting out all the planned expenditure that has taken place and next month will be back to full on MFW.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Hello all
Work is finally calming down so I can get back on track with posting.
Last month was financially tough because of all the back to school expenses. I had budgeted pretty well for all of them but there is always one or two things that you haven't allowed for.
The mortgage payment went out this morning which left me with
£260,001.65 :mad::D
I will pay off a bit more today as I am finally getting around to paying in some of my change we will be in the £250s at least for a few days until the interest accruals hit. At least I know from next month we will be in the properly in the £250's. I have been pushing a bit to get the mortgage down before I refix in November when my deal ends.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Oooh....I would be just itching to pay off that £1.65Mortgage - £105,5001

That £1.65 at the end does look most untidy!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -

I might have done a bit of mortgage tidying
Brizzled I don't know if I will get away at half term but I do have a couple of days booked off so I will get a break. As we are in London, day trips are always an option, assuming I can extract my 13 year old from his bed before midday!MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Every time I thought work had calmed down something new popped up. I even ended up cancelling my half term days off and adding them to my Christmas break. Finally, I seem to be coming out of the other side of it.
I have been keeping on track taking my food to work and chipping away at the mortgage.
I refixed the mortgage for 2 years in Nov at 1.39% and am now below £260K.
It is looking good to beat the OP target for the year as well.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000
