I know what you mean - after my last AF was quite light and short i had pretty much convinced myself it was an IB even though i knew in my heart it wasn't - i just wanted to hang onto that little glimmer of hope.

what must we look like to any one not TTC!

Crazy!!!!! Unless they have been in the same boat... But I suppose after you get the little one, you forget all the troubles you went through to get pg!!!!

We are going to OH family (abroad) for Christmas/New year this year and we are also going for a Christening in between (we are godparents!!!!). Lots of OH's friends had babies now and he was saying if I wouldn't like to spend New Years Eve with all the friends of his with babies. I said - no way, as if I am not pg by then, I will be so depressed to see all the new mums and babies!!!!

I am fine with the friends who asked us to be godparents, as I know the trouble they went through (mc at about 4 months and then it took nearly 2(!!!!) years to concieve!).... I hope we will be a bit luckier....

do you think day 24/27 is too early to test? I don't think I can wait any longer!

sat down to dinner on monday and suddenly had to run to the bathroom to throw up, felt fine after and managed to eat and everything, but as a result my imagination has been in overdrive ever since.

whilst I'm not worried about wasting a test (cheapies of AD) I'm just scared about getting a negative (real or false) and being dissapointed

You know what I'm going to say :D I wouldn't. I would be worried that if it was a neg it might be wrong as its too early, then I'd want to do another one if AF didn't arrive so I'd rather wait till I'm late and be sure of the result and only use 1 test, not 2.
(Also I'd rather hold onto the hope for a few days :o )

    Hi

I found out today I have endometriosis. Also I'm too old to have infertility treatment on the NHS.

I just wanted to get this off my chest.

I know that feeling of clinging on to hope even though AF has arrived... for me first it's the occasional feint pink spotting, which could be IB, then nothing for a bit... convinced it's IB.... then AF starts proper - heavy IB?! It IS crazy, but I find it amazing how the mind can play tricks on us  .

Hi Sunny Saver - sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I don't know much about endometriosis other than something to do with the lining of the womb (?)... what does that mean for you and ttc?

In my quest to be positive I've decided to look into giving reflexology a go. I've read loads of success stories, but then practitioners are not going to publish the failures are they! I know there is no scientific evidence that it works, but has anyone here tried it and failed? I'm trying to put it into perspective (in a money saving justification kind of way :p ). Cheers!

It's stopped me from conceiving so it has to be sorted out first via a laproscopy :( Thanks for asking.

    Hello again,

    Regarding experience of temperatures...

I had ovulation pains on Monday night. This morning my temperature did its considerable rise phase - is this "normal" with what you guys have found? This is my first month of doing the temperature thing. Is it normal for the pain and the temp rise to be a few days apart? Please let me know of your experiences - cheers!

I don't know - I usually have pains for a few days, if I have them... And then temperature rises...

This month my temperatures seems to be a bit off. I had a bit of spotting on Monday, really bad AF on Tuesday (had to leave work early and was feeling as if my ovaries (or something around there) is on fire and is about to explode), and very light bleeding yesterday - all with my temp not as low as usual, somewhere in between the usual high and usual low point. And this morning temp dropped to the low point (which is about 36.2-36.3 for me, and it is 36.2 this morning). Haven't really had any bleeding this morning yet

Ok... this is all new to me so really not sure what is going on... At the weekend we BD'd several times as it was supposed to be the most fertile time working on my cycle (26 days...) but I have to admit I never felt any ovulation pains - but then I don't recall ever feeling ovulation pains...
Anyway last night quite suddenly I got really bad pains, which lasted about 3 hours maybe 4. Could this be implantation pains or was my ovulation late? Today would be day 18 in a 26 day cycle...
Am I getting my hopes up unrealistically?
