Kids' Current accounts - 15 and 17 yrs

Has anyone researched this? Looking for current account with debit card and online access. Will be regular £70 paid in each month - and probably out in one case - but if there are any accounts that pay interest on balances left in then so much the better. The eldest hits 17 in 3 or 4 months' time:) and that seems to be the cut of for many kids accounts - what is available when they turn 17? Any suggestions welcome!

I found this comparison by doing a quick g00gle search
What do your kids think? It's good to get them involved. Maybe their friends have recommended a certain bank/account.

Probably one of:
Nationwide FlexOne
One of the Lloyds stable (Lloyds, TSB and BOS all offer essentially the same account)
Santander Mini 123This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Both my boys opened a Flexone account, which seems fine. The perk Vue Film card is netx to useless, as everytime we tried to use it, one reason or another, the discount didn't work. It should have, it was valid but Vue simply didn't accept it. I have recently complained to Vue, no response yet.0

I'd go for Flex One - the Monthly Saver will take the monthly £70 deposit at 3.5% so the main account can be used to earn interest on money from a part time job etc and make it less likely that they'll blow the money you put in.
Benefits of the account can be retained until age 23.0
