Just had a stressful time trying to sort car insurance - left it to the last minute with the result that it was uninsured for a whole hour :rotfl: what with one thing and another I haven't been collecting quotes but I have done it through quidco and am getting cash back and it was cheap enough.

Now need to sort out the tip.

Oh and I am a Great Auntie again too, baby Jack was born this morning. Some joy for our family which we need right now.

Washed my make up brushes due to an accident involving the loo

    Congrats Valli on baby Jack.

I spent two hours in the garden which I'm finding is enough for any day now and took the dogs for a short walk. Just about to get ready to go out.

Not at all; I've loads left to plant as it has been so cold here.

Freezing here. Have managed to keep reasonably on top of things this week even though I have been working a lot. We are decorating our bedroom which is in serious need of a makeover, even though we dont plan on being here for too much longer.

Wont be late too bed, more work tomorrow.

Ohh and Bossy well done on your son getting himself dry on a night. We ended up getting an alarm for DS from the doctors surgery because he got so upset about it. Not sure why that worked but it did.

    Morning all,

Thanks YL and everyone, so far so good. He's always been like this, he was a late walker but once he decided, he was up and away, never had that cruising / tootling about stage.

I want to get our beds washed today, but we are out and about a bit, been a busy weekend as we make a big thing for St George in our little town. DD was dancing in the street literally yesterday with her dance troupe - so cute, shaking pom-poms and skipping around with the big girls :D she really enjoyed it and even smiled this time, heheh.

Today we have football, then the parade and DD dancing again later on the outdoor stage after the troops do all their official stuff. And I might be helping on the tombola stall if it's busy.

So flying will fit in as and when, I guess I can s&s the bathrooms later while the kiddies are being dunked ;)

Congrats to valli, hugs to CY and dizzy and anyone else who needs xxx

  • Morning all,

Well I didn't finish the ironing mountain yesterday, but did lots and I mean to try again today. Problem was it was bright and sunny yesterday (cold though) so I washed loads, so ironing was increasing as I was doing it! I also spent the morning sweeping and tidying around the front of the house, which was just looking horrible, like an untidy builders yard. Anyway, it looks tons better now, repotted a couple of little bushes from the garden and put them out front, amazing the difference it has made.

Today I'm finishing the ironing, or else. General tidying also, as OH's family coming for tea. Will need to go to shop to get some extra bits as they eat a lot.
Also need to take dog for a very very long walk, to get rid of the calories I have eaten this weekend.

Valli , congrats to you and yours re baby x

CY hope you are doing OK and the infection is clearing up x

Bossy sounds like an exciting day. Enjoy it!

Right, get off bum and get dressed!
