I signed up for another year just over a week ago.
No idea whether anything has been re-configured, if at all.
I'm just cut and pasting the report from the BT Wholesale speed test. It would be funny if it suddenly jumped to 50Mbps.0 -
I have two houses at the moment one gets 40 meg Sky fibre the other gets 150 meg with Virgin - the performance for what I need it for (some down loading a bit of surfing and a small amount of uploads ) isn't even noticeable between the two services
I gave up on Virgin, because they throttled during peak hours.
And how do you work that out? Speed testing throughout the day.0 -

Yes but presumably because you were having a problem trying to do whatever it was you were wanting to do?
My point is that you wouldn't see if you could get your car up to 140mph every day on private land just because the brochure said it could do it. The same applies for an internet connection, in my opinion anyway.0 -

If the normal price for four corn on the cob is £1,
and I managed to get 4 for 90p, that's a bargain.
If I got five cobs for £1, that's a bargain too.
I had Infinity 1, capped at 38Mbps.
If all I had to do was make a call to get 52Mbps,
paying the same as before, I would be a poor MSE member not to.
If my experience helps other MSEs get a better deal, for no extra cost, it's no bad thing either.0
