Hi everyone,
Budgets list updated to here
Welcome to daydreamsofaunicorn
Going to Costco this afternoon as DH needs bulk bacon and eggs etc. for scout camp next week. I have my second purse with £57 odd in it, so will buy OJ, chicken breast and loo roll. May also check out the whole chickens and salmon if the budget will stretch to it.
Have a great day all

Thanks Suffolk Lass for the dishwasher tips! I think I'll try that as well. I did a shop today of 25.25 at Aldi. Got a couple of visits away before the end of the month but staying in a youth hostel for second trip so should keep cost down. Was hoping to stay under 300 mark as have done loads better than I anticipated this month.October 2016 Grocery Challenge £76.11/250/

Well done! :T - that is real progress. It often takes months for us to realise we should only buy the things we actually need

Well done Coxy11 for maintaining your second purse. My own purse is a bit mixed up as I have become slack and lax (!) around allocating my purchases to my stores fund - my equivalent 2nd purse lives in my spreadsheet as month 13(!).
So no surprise that I am running ahead of the percentage I have set myself for this stage of the year. My complacency filter is running hot though as I cannot physically fit any more toiletries in the storage unit (which is only a fifth the size it used to be ) and I have plenty of beans, flour, soup and other long-term storage things in my larder. I will have to stock up before holidays as DS and his GF will be living here, house and cat-sitting and he was made redundant yesterday so bank of M&D will need to support him.
