Morning all, hoping to post regularly this month, to give me a hand! :D

Spent £36.10 in total yesterday already, but £10 of that was on dry cat food that should last all month. Car is almost full with diesel and we have a reasonable amount of food in, hopefully all we'll spend this weekend is a few pounds on a bottle of wine or some beer. Going to use up odds and ends and do some baking for the snackers! :rotfl:

    A xo

June came in at just over £150 but am nicely stocked up with tins and dried goods so this month should be doable at £100. Freezer only has a few portions of soup so am looking to stock that up with home cooked meals this month.

First July spend, £11.90 on vegbox yesterday.

Technically spent 8.72 on groceries, but it is for a BBQ we're having so I am counting that as a 'Social' spend, also made 90p on the Shopitize app from what I bought.

Lidl again. £12.34, but 6.50 of that on dog food.

I'm feeling a bit bad, saving loads in Lidl, but while the dog and DH are getting lots of trade downs (quite happily (or ecstatically in the case of the dog)), I have been less successful. Oh well. I'll keep trying new things until I find a balance.

Going to try the local markets - there are 4 within 20mins of us. But I think they will be better in terms of quality, but not so good on price.

First spends of July, 3 boxes of camomile tea on special, replenished my 85% chocolate stash, £8 in total, on the internet front not doing quite so well.
Do I need it or just want it.

A small spend at Lidl on Thursday on some basmati rice @ £1.35. Only went in to buy an electric cool box (bargain at £24.99 I thought) Anyway it could have been worse! Two NSDs since though so not all bad. Been at work for a 12 hour stint today but managed to avoid the takeaway menus (which are now beginning to gather dust from lack of use. Yay go me!) I seriously need to spend less this month as we are on holiday in August so need to save a bit extra for my "ice creams."

Can I be in for £240 again please?
This is for 4 weeks from the 09/07 for a family of 2 adults and 2 teens for all food inside the home and out and toiletries and cleaning items.

We have a two week holiday in there that will be fully catered for but I'm going to use the budget for those 2 weeks to stock up my freezer with meat for OH and son and also a store cupboard stock up. Other than chick peas and spelt flour it is pretty bare :o
