  • I think I might try for £100 for the month (gives me £20 xtra) as I have turned Vegan an lots of items seem to be more expensive, but some cheaper, so hopefully it will work out. Really would like to try and come in at £80 though not sure that is possible. It's for me n my daughter, but she buys a lot of her own stuff.

    Hiya,
    In for my 2nd month.
Budget: £250 (last month was just over £300, but before that it was £400+!!!!
we're planning to do it mostly from internet shopping this month to see if that helps. Got a lovely fresh veggie box coming, and staples ordered from Asd@ for a change as I could get £10 cashback!!

Fingers crossed we'll keep moving in the right direction.

Made a batch load of vegetarian lasagne today-using half as much quorn mince and replacing it with lentils to save money. This is good as this will actually save me money because on Thursdays I play football with a girls team in the evening and always get a takeaway or ready meal afterwards as i don't feel like cooking. Now I have dinner already made. :) Total saving about £4 from usual.

I'm in again for July I'll still with my £400 budget for July please

I just stayed under budget with £396.85 for my June total. I'm hoping to keep under for July as ds2 has two five day residentials to go on and and has daily activities for the rest of July while ds1 has jury service for at least two weeks and according to the paperwork should get a meal allowance for lunchtimes.
The salad is growing well in the garden so has started supplementing the shops.

I hope everyone is well. Thank you to everyone who posts in this thread, especially the contributes to the recipies in the index list.

    Hi all,

First spend of the month, I know it's not July till tomorrow, but wanted to avoid the payday rush in Aldi :)

Spent £46, that's included 2 weeks worth of cat food and some washing powder/fabric softener etc

Away next week, will need to stock up for DS who is holding the fort :)
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

    £300/£130
