Another £22.92 spend (on fresh goods, loo rolls and a few weeks supply of quorn)... total £172.08. I somehow dont think I'm gonna get by on just £2.92 for the rest of the month lol.. probably a bit too ambitous a target for my first month but at least I'm keeping track! ^_^

  • Thank you everyone for the warm welcome ... I feel like I've been here forever!

I've had spends of £28.62 taking my total to £104.95.

I'm changing my goal posts, as I originally wanted to go to 7th July with my budget but 1) That was far too ambitious and I don't want to lose motivation and 2) I don't want to be posting this thread on my own for a week and 3) If I can do it, it will still meean its been £36 cheaper than an average month even though its been a 5 week month so I will still consider it a success  If I could do that over the year, its £432!!

So 17 days left and £70 remaining in the budget. 2 portions of batch cooked bolognaise in the freezer and 1 of chilli. Plenty of potatoes for homemade chips and wedges. The extra effort to drink more water is having a visible impact on our bottles of squash, we've not had to buy any so far in June and might get away with not buying any during the month. Ditto with tea bags. I'd say I can taste success, but all I can taste is water! Here's hoping and planning to come within target...
