Had a bit of an expensive day. Went to the hairdressers, came out and the heavens opened - no brolly - ran into a bar (like you do) and ordered a drink and their vegan option (chips) - £9.00. Also got a few vegan supplies - mayo, spread, yoghurt & milk (wow - it aint cheap). Im sure I will find my way around this diet, but at the mo im living off salad n houmous rolls. Spent on some other bits, not much to show for it really, so its gonna be a bit of a tight month if I don't get inventive. Oh well. I have updated sig.0

First big shop of June which came to £32.46 but I've got loads of fruit and veg, turkey mince, fridge bits as well as tinned and dried stuff. There was no sparkling water so I will need to pop back tomorrow during the school run. If I stick to my meal plan there will be no need to shop until next Friday.
I also spent £5.75 in Morrisons but I had a £5 voucher from petrol points so it only cost me 75p. Got really lucky as I popped in at about 7.30 and cleaned up on YS artisan bread for 9p, tortillas for 15p, sandwich thins for 9p, Savoy cabbage for 15p and two large pizzas for 49p each. I also stocked up on frozen peppers which the don't do at Aldi.
So the freezer is rammed again, I'm clearly not destined to empty it:)

Take away last night - Chippy £9.90 (saved money by using tinned mushy peas instead of ordering them - just to make myself feel a bit better about not being bothered to cook lol) total now £70.11 I think.June 2016 Grocery Challenge: £252.83/£175

I've had a huge stock up this morning. Been to all of our local supermarkets, various pound lands and home bargains and did price comparisons first! Then shopped. Tinned and dried goods, soap, shampoo, laundry and washing up liquid, dog food, frozen veg and fruits, fresh fruit and veg, bacon, eggs and fresh meat from the butchers. It's the biggest shop ive done since last September. All cupboards are full again
We've been eating through our stores over the past 9 months and it's been interesting to replace/change our usual staples.
Total spend was £88.56.
Still have pet food, milk, bread and more fresh fruit to buy this month but hopefully am well on target0 -
Got my three bottles of sparkling water that was out of stock yesterday but also got branflakes and yogurts. £2.39 so it could have been worse but I never seem to be able to just get what I popped in for:o
