RebeccaI'm gutted actually as it is the first time in a year or so since I failed to make it
I was doing well(ish) - and now it seems to be going pear shaped - spent another £15 today. I was going to up my budget, but my son left home, so I left it, but, like a yo yo, he's back, so I will up it the £20 I was going to - so can I please change my May budget to £100 - sorry to mess you around. I have updated my sig.0 -
I think I am doing ok here.
I have had the stinking heavy cold that seems to be doing the rounds, I was laid up over last bank holiday weekend and havent managed much more all week! All my cold medicine was 2+ years out of date (it has been that long since I was this bad) so there has been lots of cold medicine spending but I have taken that out of my own account. I have totted up the food spend for the the month to date to £72.78.
I did buy quite a lot that I havent eaten, it will carry over to next week, I always crave super/pot noodles when I have a cold, thing from childhood I suspect, so I mainly topped up the shop with those.
Got household stuff from h.bargain for £8.34, we have a lodger now and I included things like that in the price so think we will be spending a little extra there, should easily have enough for the month.
4 shops across Ald! and sains totalling £64.44
The plan is to do the meal plan for the week and buy accordingly later on. I really would like to eat a bit lighter and healthier, I have been going for the easy reach carbs all week and dont doubt that has contributed to my continuing to feel rough.0 -

The problem with having 100% perfect as a target is if you only get 99.9% perfect its disappointing.
I agree with Save Dosh here, that's actually a great achievement, well done for doing so well for so long!!:j0 -

No big shops so far but bought a jar of chocolate spread (80p) for a "Terry's" chocolate orange loaf I'm trying out tonight, plus some bananas (40p).
Not wishing to sound like your Mum but.... are you making cake to avoid the unfinished thesis? Or is it to sustain you while you do finish it?

£17.58 in butcher's today: £8 on dogs, £9.58 on us. Have to go to Waitrose for milk and other stuff later, so will probably be almost half way through my budget for the month in the first week - oops!! Hopefully I won't have to get much for the rest of the week though so it should even itself out over the month.
£104.34/£250.0 -
Total shop so far this month is £69.46 this includes store cupboard items, I've stocked up on special offers which I use regular which will save me in the long run. xWhy pay full price when you may get it YS0
