Cheap Phone/Broadband every year

I have no problem with Aff links, the whole site is funded on that. As I said they both have affiliate commissions, so all is equal.
My point was that I would expect this site to show the best deals
I accept that some may be better off by using cashback sites and this site even recommends them from time to time.
However, what I do NOT expect is that they promote a deal on this site while they concurrently have a better deal on their own MoneySupermarket site.
That they then headline that inerior deal as being the cheapest is also worth pointing out to people.
The key thing is I want to be able to trust the Cheap Broadband page and any other page on this site. Thanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -
I've copied your posts over to site feedback in a new thread as that's the only place that the forum team are likely to see it and respond if they wish , they are most unlikely to see it in this thread

Just wondered if anyone has tried this to get a 'new customer' deal from one of the cashback sites.
At end of contract with ISP 'A', switch phone+broadband to a pay-monthly, non-contract ISP 'B'. After a month or two, switch back to ISP 'A' and get the 'new customer' cashback deal (plus any 'new customer' deal that ISP 'A' is offering).
I haven't tried it myself yet, but can't see why it wouldn't work. I'm considering it as I am happy with my ISP and would renew if I could get the 'new customer' deal from a cashback site.0 -
Sky and I think most ISP's have term on offer of not being a customer of theirs for 12 monthsThanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0

I have BT broadband unlimited, now out of contract and was thinking of switching back to Sky broadband which I had previously 18 months ago.
I'm keen on the offer for new customers of free broadband unlimited for a year, just pay £17.40 per month rental and get a £100 M&S voucher.
Would I be classed as a new customer even though I am a current Sky TV subscriber?
I fear not and unfortunately the voucher is only valid for new customers.
If I can't get the above offer, the best I've seen for current Sky customers is £60.60 topcashback, then the free broadband with £17.40 a month sky line rental, but no voucher.
This is still tempting but there is the complication of BT Sport, which I watch, I expect it would shoot up in price if I cancelled my BT broadband - currently pay £5 a month plus £4 a month for HD. I'm unsure of the price if I cancelled the BT broadband, possibly £15 a month, so where I would gain in one sense, I would lose in another so not be any better off! If BT offered me free broadband just pay line rental if I renew then I might accept that.0 -

As my previous post suggests you will be eligible for Sky deal if you have not been a Sky Customer for 12 months
I remember someone telling me there is a way to get BT Sport without BT Broadband is £12 a month but getting it on your Sky Box is £21.99 plus £15 activations according to this page
http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/bt-sport-on-sky-packages?s_intcid=con_sportoverview_to_skyonly
I suspect that there are other platforms, YouVie, Roku etc

BT got into Sport to tie people into BT Broadband, it seems to be workingThanks, don't you just hate people with sigs !0 -

the problem is I am a current Sky TV subscriber, so doubt I will be classed as a new customer even though I've not had their broadband for 18 months. It isn't clear but I think taking any services from them means that you are a current customer.0 -
Just coming out of contract with TalkTalk Medium Fibre and thinking of taking up the Sky free Broadband offer. Can anyone confirm if the speed of Sky's standard broadband is acceptable as funds are tight but I'm wondering if it will feel like snails speed after fibre?
Thanks in advance.0 -
I use Sky's free broadband and currently get excellent download speeds, just now measured at 17.26 Mbps on my laptop connected to my router via wi-fi. NB I'm only 0.5 mile from the exchange. It has been as fast as 20Mbps0
