I think they're classing compers as cheats. I'd like to see the police taking that one seriously!
I look forward to the Police arresting tens of thousands of forum members - it'll certainly make the news, that's for sure!

I hope it all works out in your favour because their behaviour is disgusting.

  • We only got to find out about this one through the stupidity of the company - sending out a winner notification one day then retracting it the next.

It makes you wonder how many other competitions there are out there where the prizes are either never awarded or just awarded to friends and relatives of the company.

Many of them do get featured on the 'CONNED BY COMPS' Facebook group but it is always hard getting the evidence to prove it.

I've been looking through the latest ASA 'Rulings'. Nothing showing yet.

    https://www.asa.org.uk/Rulings/Adjudications.aspx

It didn't think the ASA would take this long to act (if indeed they are acting)!

Their timescales are much longer than that and also depend on response times and any investigations they may make.

The most recent complained about item in the latest rulings is from 25/03 and 6 of the other 7 are from last year.

(Also if there is a police investigation it would probably be inappropriate/not possible to rule before the outcome of that is known)
