Oh my days ive heard some rubbish before but this sounds unreal.Email her back and ask her the details of the police Force dealing with it so that you can send those details to ASA I bet you either do not get a reply or get some excuse as to why she won't give you those details. I cannot believe she put I hope you understand ! Yeah Right you understand that you won £1000 to spend and now can't have it ?? Make sure when you tell her you are going to ASa you end the email with I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND.0

Something very suspicious about this whole thing, at least to me anyway!
What do they mean by 'fraudulent email'?
I'm inclined to say they're just trying to get out of awarding the prize, especially as their T&Cs state that it is at their discretion if they award it to another entrant after disqualifying one.
Tell them that you're happy to comply with the police in order to get your prize, and maybe ask for the crime incident number too. This is a big prize and it would be a shame to lose out on it. I definitely wouldn't let it go.2019 Wins

Agree - absolute BS! If they had something fraudulent going on, they'd surely just tell you to sit tight and they'd be in touch in a week or whatever. They wouldn't just disqualify you for no reason (well, for a made up reason, and then deny receiving your email).
Please keep us updated. Also keep a close eye on any other/future comps they may be running cos that would also surely point to a big fat lie re this one/fraud!

I'd email the IPM too http://www.theipm.org.uk/contact-us.aspx as well as the ASA,
Sounds like the have had mass email spam entries, they should have something in place to stop that from happening.
Keep all correspondence civil and too the point.
Make sure you save all emails including the original response to the win.
I'd truthfully take out the companies details above otherwise that could use this thread or the fact you are a comper from mse against you.
