Oh Rachy how annoying, but definitely discard temps post alcohol - mine were pretty hilarious after wine!!

At least you have nice short cycles if you're ov-ing around day 11, so I have no doubt you will be pregnant again very soon xx

Glad in one way your feeling better since it all lines up now, fingers crossed it will happen again soon for you! It all confuses me haha! I find it funny how much we all suddenly notice about our bodies but I'm glad to have here to chat about it and know I'm not the only one :) and yes I'm just a bit of a Christmas nut :rotfl: (as much as I love wam weather). I watch Christmas films year round when i need a pick me up too :o

  • I love Christmas too but only in December :p. I'd feel weird watching anything earlier. I have weird rules though so ignore me :rotfl:

A good thing to note is that those of us that fall from now onwards will have escaped the awful heat of the summer, it seems much more appealing to be pregnant whilst wearing thick clothes, snuggled under blankets watching Christmas films and eating lovely food :j

Oooo yes snuggled under a blanket with good food is a bonus to being too hot!

More cramping last night, not painful but slightly uncomfortable, still abit crampy/pully in the area. Normally at this time in run up to AF I would have sore boobs (only been the case since 1st MC in Jan) but atm that one hasn't arrived. CM is creamy/watery/stringy.

    Hey,

Thought I'd introduce myself, been a reader of this group for a while, in prep of officially trying to conceive. I'm now off the pill, and the OH and I are now trying. There's so many things to try and get used too. I've been debating about whether or not to use fertility/ovulation monitors but its the whole becoming obsessive with them. As for my cycle its all to pot, hence why I was thinking the route of these monitors. What is the general consensus in regards to them?

    Thanks :)

Hey April! I'm a lurker on here having finally got a bfp 4 wks ago after 14 months. My cycles are a mess - ranging from 32 to 73 (!!) days with an average of around 39/40. I didn't use anything fancy like a fertility monitor but did find cheap Amazon opks to be invaluable for pinpointing my ov day.

Later on I used the Clearblue digital as they give you your "fertile days" which means you know ov is coming, but they are expensive. I also tracked my BBT at the beginning of the year for three months to confirm I actually was ovulating when we had had no success for 8 months. Once I knew I was I gave that up because it was a lot to think about!

So conclusion - if your cycles are messed up I really would recommend tracking somehow - we never would have conceived otherwise as no two cycles have been the same!!

    Hi April and welcome :j

There is a wealth of knowledge on this page and I would imagine we all have different thoughts and opinions. It also depends on your situation too.

I would say hold off any tests/temp checks for as long as possible as it does get obsessive and stressful. I wanted to enjoy TTC but that stopped when I started charting etc as you analyse everything and worry you've done something wrong. I would just relax and enjoy the experience. My advice on when to BD would be from Day 7 or Day 8 of your cycle, every other day or every 3 days if that is too much.

If you really want to try some sort of guide then OPKs are the least stressful for me. Cheapies from online work well

    Good luck :)

Great advice from Rachy too but does depend on your cycle length - if we'd been on top of BD-ing from day 7-8 we'd have been at it for almost 3 weeks by the time I ovulated!!:rotfl:
