Hello, hope everyone had a nice weekend?

I wanted to go full steam ahead with SMEP as I got a positive OPK on Friday however even tho we tried it just didn't work for us and so I only BD'd on the weds, thurs and Sunday. I can't help but feel we missed the two key days. I have a small chance I guess bcos we BD the day before and sperm live for 3-5 days and all that but I had loads of EWCM on Friday and Saturday so I'm thinking that was prime BD time. Who knows all I can do now is wait!,

Sorry to see your feeling a bit sh*t fresh, your not out until AF arrives tho so keep your hopes up, it's easier said that done though xx

Welcome sassy, I hope your stay here is short and sweet, I don't have a huge amount of knowledge on PCOS however I have read it can give false positive on ovulation tests. Also, my friend was diagnosed with PCOS before she started TTC bcos she went to the doctor with the other symptoms so may be worth doing that rather than waiting for it to be a year xxx

Will update the list at lunch.

Sassy - welcome :) hoping your stay is short in the nicest possible way! If you wish to be added to the list please let me know. I'm afraid I don't have any knowledge of PCOS but I know that many on here are fonts of knowledge so I'm sure someone will be able to advise.

Angel - sending you warming hugs. Sorry that you are really feeling rubbish at the mo. Your not out until AF shows her face, although I appreciate it is a horrible time being stuck in limbo of waiting/not getting any assistance.

A0503 - fingers crossed for you. I know the 2 times we have been caught I think we have just BD around OV and not often on the actual day so you are still well in with a chance. Lots of baby dust!

Well my SIL was rather pressing over the weekend asking when will she be an auntie/come on I want to be an auntie/have babies already blah blah blah  she doesn't know and I don't really intend on telling her so not entirely her fault... but most people ask once, I bat it off and move on its fine. I can deal with that, stings but I can cope, it's to be expected the odd asking now and again. But the asking 4/5times in a row when I've just batted it away is really annoying. Sorry just needed a little rant about that :o

  • I had a very very small amount of EWCM yesterday and thought yay I'm finally OVing and was expecting more but there's not, there's nothing today. The small amount I did have was not the same as what I have had previously. I have had a lot of ovary pain though this cycle.

And what's even worse I would normally put tender breasts as a symptom but I can't distinguish whether it's a symptom or cause of this !!!!!! bra I'm wearing. I had the 'fantastic' idea of rewashing loads of my clothes cause I bought a new fabric conditioner that I love the smell of and DH forget to put my comfy bras in the dryer so I had to wear this awful uncomfy thing.

I'm getting seriously pee'd off now. I really want AF to arrive now just for some peace of mind and clarity really.

Hi all. Hugs to those struggling and welcome to the newbies - hope your stays are short!.

Newthrift - thanks again for doing the lists. Can I please be updated to CD11 in the BD zone :)

We finally had our appointment at the "sub-fertility clinic" (!!) and now starting the whole process of tests once more as the last lot we had are now considered out of date because we had to wait so long for the appointment! So, another round of bloods, SA and then the lovely dye test at some point in the near future.

Due to my age, they have recommended that we seriously consider IVF and asked that we have a decision for them by our next appointment as to whether we want to go down that route. That just meant a few days of searching online for statistics at the local IVF clinics, which was somewhat depressing! There's also one test (AMH) that will ultimately decide whether or not we are even eligible for IVF, and we've got a 6 week wait for those results. If that comes back too low, NHS will not provide any assistance, whatsoever. Oh, the joys!

So, I guess we'll just take the tests as they come up and hope that by the time we have to decide about IVF, we will be pg :)

I'm sorry I'm not contributing much just now, but I am still lurking and keeping my fingers crossed for all you lovely ladies.
    xx

Keekee how annoying that all the tests have to be redone on top of everything else. Fx for some good news for you soon.

Athens hopefully something will happen soon!

Sorry you're having a horrible time atm Fresh.

Welcome Sassy hope your not here too long (in the nicest possible way of course :p)

New as always thanks for doing the lists, would you mind moving me to TWW please, 3DPO (feels so good to be able to say that :D). I've had comments like that before from people, it makes me so angry that people think it's OK to ask such sensitive questions

Had another acupuncture session & she's pretty sure that I did ov at the weekend :j It isn't ideal at cd16 since my cycles are usually 26-27 days, but just to ov at all this cycle is a pretty good result. She did say that my cycle may be a few days longer than normal because of it, so I'm prob going to need reminding & talking down if/when AF is late next week :o

Hope everyone is doing OK x

Good luck with the tests Keekee, I hope you don't have to wait too long for all the appointments like we did! Do you think you'll say yes to IVF? Personally if it's offered free on the NHS I'd try anything.

So our results today showed everything is normal, except for my progesterone levels which were low, which may indicate I'm not ovulating. The consultant blamed the fact that I'm underweight (BMI 16). She said I need to put on weight to make my BMI 19, which will be about a stone, before they will refer me for any fertility treatment ie. Clomid.

I'm having my bloods done again to check progesterone levels a second time, then we will know if I am definitely ovulating or not.

Millie sorry that you might not be oving. But on the positive side, at least you're now getting tests done, & hopefully some answers & progress soon. How do you feel about it all? x

Keekee sorry you need to restart all your tests again, how annoying. Re IVF, I know if it was me I would be taking the option but i hope you and DH come to a decision that suits you both.
millie sorry you might not be oving, I echo exactly what angel said. With you bmi how are you feeling at the prospect of having to look at possibly putting weight on?
Ange I know people don't seem to engage there brain sometimes when asking questions, so annoying. Updated you :D
My CM/body appears to be having a mind of its own this month so I'm assuming we are out again this time...I know it's not over until AF shows her face though (which over a week away yet).
