  • Ahh CCJ sounds like you are still none the wiser! I used to drive myself mad looking at lines. I have only been PG once but the FRER's and cheapies never really worked for me, I had to use a CB Digital to get my results. I know that doesn't help much, and they aren't cheap either! It is sounding promising though and I am keeping everything crossed - what are you going to do next?

Please can you add me to the TWW. Last night's OPK was positive so I had to practically jump OH last night before I went to work, ended up being late for work - oops. The cramps must have been OV cramps after all. I am still suffering today, but think they may be more in my bowel than my ovaries.. Sorry TMI!
  • Thanks BB! Fingers crossed for you too. I'm going to try and wait until Sunday to test again with my other super expensive first response lol. Still no sign of AF which is weird for me, each month it's been coming earlier. Although to be fair I have been quite stressed this month. Unfortunately a young family member died very suddenly in an accident so the stress may be a factor!

  • Hey everyone

Ohhhh CCJ I am keeping everything crossed for you, I’ve read about a lot of people not getting a result on FR and only on CB digital, hopefully that is the case for you! Very sorry to hear about your family member though that must have been very upsetting, sending you hugs xx

As for me, I am well confused now! I had EWCM last week and some pains so thought I OV then. We BD a few times and although I never got the static peak on the OPKs I thought we’d done okay. Now for the last few days I’ve had EWCM and pains again. Stopped using the OPKs so can’t check them to see what’s going on but I don’t understand it at all. This would be very late in my cycle to only be ovulating now. Assuming 14 days to my AF that would be over 40 days again. Sigh. I just don’t know what is going on, it’s very frustrating. I feel like giving up lol OH is getting stressed because I’m getting stressed not knowing what’s happening and when.

Anyways rant over. Off to work now on a Friday night 🙁 hope you all have lovely weekends xx

  • Busybargains, was it you that mentioned IBS and meds? I can't remember who it was! I have IBS and take a pescribed laxative everyday, which alleviated my symptoms. When I was at the docs I asked whether these were ok when TTC and when pregnant. She consulted her medical journal and confirmed that they were. It is definitely worth asking the doctor about meds and not suffering when it might not be necessary!

CCJ ah how frustrating! I am so sorry to hear about your family member, that must have been such a shock and a difficult time for you. They say stress is a major factor when it comes to ovulation so it may be that you've ovulated later. Fingers crossed it is just a BFP taking longer to show though!

Buttermint I hate how unpredictable and confusing our bodies are! I have stopped trying to predict mine now as I was finding it so frustrating hahaha

Jeez I can barely hear myself think with this rain! But it is Friday, and we have a chilled weekend visiting family planned :)
  • CCJ - sorry to hear that! I too am hoping it’s just taking its time to show for you!

PKK - no that wasn’t me! Not sure who that was come to think of it.. I’ve always thought I could possibly have a mild form of IBS though! Everything has eased off this evening and I feel normal again. Ready to do tonight’s OPK as if it’s still showing positive I’ll make sure I BD again.. so tired haha.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Wish I was having a chilled one but I’m doing a 26 mile Shine Walk for charity! So it’s gonna be a long one!
  • Thanks all, means alot!

Buttermint is it possible to ovulate twice maybe? One from each side at different times??

PKK it's me with IBS....do you mind telling me what you're taking for it??

Good luck with the walk BB that's amazing! Hope it stays dry for you!

So I caved and bought some FRERs yesterday, took one last night BFN. I had to pee in the middle of the night last night so there goes my FMU lol.

I've been quite constipated (sorry for TMI) for a while and I am feeling sick but I have IBS and have a dodgy stomach at the best of times anyway. This is torturing me lol.

  • CCJ, symptoms of IBS vary so it depends on your type but my main problem was constipation. I take one tablet of docusate a day and this made everything so much better for me! Originally the doctor gave me something to take 20 mins before eating. I would always forget and so for a few months I was still the same. I saw the sae Doctor again and asked if there was something I could take daily instead as I take other meds each morning anyway and he said no. It was only when I saw a different doctor a few months later and I mentioned I was taking my IBS meds as I always forgot but I was told there was no alternative that they said there was and gave me docusate!

Now your period is overdue CCJ you don't need to use a FRER. If you want to test daily or every couple of days then buy some cheap ones from home bargains or something, no point wasting all your money! If you think there is a line on a cheap one you can then always buy a digital to check.

BusyBargains good luck on your shine marathon! I did the overnight walking shine marathon 6 years ago and it was amazing! I wasnt very fit and had only walked 6 miles prior to it but I think something like that is definitely a mental test as much as a physical one! I did approx the last 10 miles alone (started in a group of around 12 haha). I made the mistake of sitting down around mile 22 just to brush my hair and have a drink etc - DO NOT DO THIS! Everything seized up very quickly and the last 4 miles were torture! Thankfully I have saved the battery on my phone for the home stretch and just as I was crossing a bridge over to old trafford thinking 'I can't do this anymore' Denstinys Child I'm a Survivor came on and gave me the push to keep going! Although I will prewarn you, once you cross the finish line the realisation that you still need to walk to your car is devastating hahaha
  • PKK thank you so much for the tips! I will make sure I do not sit down! Haha! Oh goodness I hadn’t even thought of the walk back to the car!
