I believe you can Katie from what I!!!8217;ve read anyway.
I took a home bargains test this morning and it was negative. It hasn!!!8217;t upset me yet because I!!!8217;m only two days late and last time the test didn!!!8217;t show a faint line until 4 days late. (Clear blue digital said pregnant at 2 days late but I do not have any of those in) I think I!!!8217;ll just wait this week out and if there is still no AF i will test again on Saturday0 -

HappyLassie13, I am intrigued, what old wives tales did you try and what was the outcome? I don!!!8217;t know how you can wait till Saturday! Haha I!!!8217;d be testing everyday! I do have zero willpower though.
Zeni, It is lovely to see you back! It is exhausting this TTC malarkey isn!!!8217;t it, fingers crossed for the next few day for you!
CD29, no AF, BFN. The waiting game continues!0 -
I have done 3 now, haha. First one I tried is to just leave your fmu in a container and if it has a white film lid it!!!8217;s an idictor of pregnancy (leave for a few hours) next one was the salt test and you add 3 tablespoons of salt to your fmu and if there!!!8217;s a creamy mixture on top it!!!8217;s another indicator. The 3rd is the sugar test where if the sugar doesn!!!8217;t dissolve then chances are you a pregnant. After doing all 3 I got all the indicators to being pregnant but obviously only a pregnancy test is accurate.
I have to wait until Saturday for pay day otherwise I would not be this patient.0 -

Fascinating, I've never heard of any of these! Fingers crossed for you
Thanks PKK, it is! Me and my friends were chatting about it the other night and we all started crying as not one of us have had an easy journey of trying to have children, one had IVF and now has twins, another has tried a year just got pregnant, another tried for 4 years until their little boy, my other friend sadly just lost her baby girl and I'm still trying over a year in. No one tells you it is this hard, it seems to easy when you first start but I can't name anyone I know who had it easy.Swagbuckling since Aug 2016 - Earnings so far.. £55.0 -
If you search online "DIY home pregnancy test" there is quite a few on there.
I'm really not sure of the accuracy but it was all for a bit of fun
It is such a hard journey Zeni.
I thought once i got pregnant that would be it, but then there are more obstacles to face and overcome. You can't help but be incredibly jealous of the lucky woman who "had sex once and got pregnant" or the ones who "didn't even know i was pregnant until 7 months"
our time will come as they say.
Hope you're feeling okay.0 -
I had a conversation with one of my team about her return to work after mat leave, she knew I'd had a miscarriage the same time she was pregnant. She's about 12 years younger than me, I'm 33.
She told me that it will happen again for me, and all about how she only missed her pill once and BD once that month so if it can happen for her it will happen again for us.
It took all I had in me not to punch her in her patronising face.
I thought it would all be so easy but it's not. It's bloody hard.0 -
Oh god, I cannot believe you managed to keep your cool.
I know people mean well but the things they say can drive you insane.
Me and OH were out on Friday night waiting for a taxi home and drunk woman was talking about how happy we looked etc and then said "do you have kids?" we said no and she turned to us and said "oh so that's why you are so happy then" i could have cried, or slapped her or ran away but i just stood blank faced. i know she couldn't possibly know that we had just suffered a miscarriage but it hurt.0 -
People have no idea.
But, before I knew how hard it is TTC I probably would have said the same sort of things.0
