Thank you all for welcoming me. Hope you feel better soon Bapbap!
  • AF is due on saturday for me. No symptoms as of yet, apart from a tender tummy. I'm just taking each day at a time and going with the flow. I think i'll be devastated if AF does arrive, more than i have before.

Happylassie - I understand where you are coming from about being devastated, sorry to hear that, hopefully AF never comes and you get your BFP. I have not suffered a mc but each month that goes past I feel even worse than the month before, it is definitely an exhausting journey!

Send my last sample back to the trial today, surprise surprise, i had a not pregnant result. It would have been cycle day 39 after all if I had not got AF, luckily AF showed up weeks ago and I am on cd13 today with a dark opk this evening, I have warned the other half I need his help later lol I like to pre warn him just incase he gets any funny ideas about going to bed early. Not tonight sunshine! After ov he can do whatever he wants it is only one week a month I am demanding, it is funny thought isnt it, before BDing was for fun, now fun is when your new opks arrive in the post or when you find a new vitamin to try. !!!!!! please tell me it is not just me?

    Xxx

Bapbap, I have IBS too so I feel your pain! My symptoms have thankfully settled since I was prescribed a daily laxative around around 18 months ago. I still get little flare ups but nothing on the scale I used to have.

Happylassie, be gentle with yourself. Your body have been through a lot but so had your mind. Try and take some time to pamper yourself and hopefully the days will go quicker and AF will stay away for you with a lovely BFP!

KatieBee123, I can empathise with your disappointment. I feel like I!!!8217;ve lost the enthusiasm I had at the start for TTC. Although having crazy cycles and deciding to not try for a month might also have something to do with it. I am hoping when I get the OPK!!!8217;s and use them next month my excitement will come back as I will know that my body is ovulating and we are in with a chance! At the moment I feel like I don!!!8217;t know what my body is doing so I have no idea if things are being timed right. It feels hard enough when things are timed right so impossible when I have no idea if they are! Haha
  • Thank you for your kinds words Katie and PKK
i think what i'm finding hard is letting go, but i know with time i will.

I have received my OPKs from the clear blue trial so i will use these next cycle if AF does rear her ugly head. I have never used these before so i am unsure what exactly it is i need to do? apart from the obvious of weeing on them. We have so much to look froward to in the next few months so i won't be sat thinking about the dreaded two week wait i hope ha ha

Happylassie - I know the feeling. After my MC, every time I got AF i was devastated and I wasn't even trying back then so I understand how hard it must be when you are really putting the effort in. Crossing everything for you that it doesn't arrive and at least you have lots to look forward to to keep your mind busy.

We are just sort of taking it in a relaxed way this month, working out when the best times to BD are and getting used to this new routine around the time of OV with me being demanding haha! And will see how it goes, I can definitely relate KatieBee!!
  • Thank you BusyBargainz :)

Haha, i know what you mean. My OH looks forward to night shift where he can have a break from the BD and i leave him alone. We have just gone with the flow this month but have managed to cover all fertile week and ovulation without forcing it which is awesome.

I am at a hen do on Saturday and that is when AF is due so i'm not sure if i'll test (if AF doesn't arrive) or wait until Sunday/Monday

I got my ovulation sticks from the study this morning. You get 30 of the flashing smiley ones (detects 2 hormones). It cost me £27 for 20 of them when I used them earlier in the year so I am pleased to have got them free (and more of them!) as I would have bought these again.

Happylassie you wee on the stick in the morning as normal then wait for the result. If it's a flashing smiley it means the first hormones has been detected and is effectively your fertile time. The stick then starts to detect for the 2nd hormone, and when you get a static smiley it means this hormone surge has been detected so you are likely to ovulate within the next 12-24 hours! The leaflet says which days to start testing on in the pack, depending on your cycle length.

CD25 here, feeling nothing! Ovia is predicting Monday for AF but that is based upon a 28 day cycle and mine have been all over the show the last 3 cycles, so who knows!
