Two apps on the go. Ovia says one day late. FF says due on tomorrow. No spotting (very unusual). Tested. BFN!! How annoying0
-
Took an ovulation test and came back positive- 2 days early! It's slightly faint so will test again tomorrow and see if it darkens. Good job I tested other wise I would have missed it. We BD'd on Tuesday and if we do today & tomorrow that should cover it?0

So officially late on both apps. Took a first response and negative so it's just a case of waiting for the witch now0

Hi All
I've had a manic week with work, so have just caught up on the discussions from the week...I am finally enjoying the sunshine!
HappyLassie; Im sorry to hear AF arrived.
BusyBargainz; Thats awful. Redundancies are never nice, but they do have to go through a consultation period with you and ensure any selection for the positions are objective and fair.
I am now on the 2WW...9 days until my Ovia is telling me to check. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. When posting updates, can you please do them in Magenta so it's easy to spot. This thread is all about support, so remember to click thanks on as many posts as you can! It makes us all feel loved.
For those posting on smartphones or tablets the code for magenta is
([ )COLOR="magenta"( ] )your text ( [ )/COLOR ( ] ) (lose the round bracket)
Please let me know if anything needs editing (including the zone you are in) and I will try to keep up. If you would like adding to the lists just let me know what CD day you are (the first day of your period is CD1).

KatieBee123, I asked the Doctor after my first 7 week cycle whether this was something to be concerned about. She said no, it!!!8217;s completely normal as hormones, stress, diet etc can all affect cycle length. She said that the doctors would only become concerned/ involved in regards to tests etc after 3 missed periods (which would be around CD90!) or if your periods were lasting for weeks at a time. I think I will just wait until the year mark and if still not pregnant go to the docs then, I think anytime before and no action will be taken anyway.
BusyBargainz, even if you are made redundant and pregnant, you WILL manage. You may not be able to go away, or buy baby items new, but you will be ok because there will be no other choice! As you say it is all a !!!8216;what if!!!8217;s!!!8217; at the moment so don!!!8217;t worry about it and just tread carefully financially for now. Either way I would recommend you start looking for another job, as it doesn!!!8217;t sound like your employment is very secure if they have made redundancies in the past too. Also, I don!!!8217;t think an employer can refuse to give you a job because you are pregnant if you are the right candidate? Of course they can be sneaky and disguise it, but my friend is a nurse and got a job in a different hospital when she was around 6 months pregnant so it can be done!
HappyLaassie13, I left a job with fab additional mat leave pay and benefits (healthcare for you and the family etc) a couple of years ago knowing we would be TTC after we married to train to be a teacher so I would only get stat mat leave (although the holidays are a family friendly bonus!) but I am SO much happier. And that is definitely worth scrimping and saving in mat leave for!
Tryingin2018, fingers crossed the witch doesn!!!8217;t keep you waiting too long if she is on he way. Although don!!!8217;t write off getting a BFP quite yet, it is still a possibility until she arrives!0 -
Looks like AF is here for me, which if it is means that's the second cycle back to a normal length which is good! It makes me feel more positive for the next cycle as at least I stand a chance of finding when I ovulate! It is hard to tell when AF has arrived sometimes as it is so light, but I have updated myself to CD1.0
-
The worst bit was my hubby was so excited for me to test today as I've never been late and his face was so disappointed when I said it was negative.0
-
Hey everyone, don't want to be the person who comes on here for one cycle and then leaves again but I got a tlp on a Tesco cheapie yesterday.
I tested with a clear blue digital this morning and got a bfp! :j
We have been trying for a while though, cycle 3 of timing everything but came off birth control in November last year. I'm gonna lurk for while in here cause I'm absolutely terrified and it hasn't sunk in yet!0 -
