Rambosmum - I would definitely not have looked if the nurse hadn!!!8217;t told me to, everyone else in the room was looking so I thought what the hell lol and you are right about the smell, like a soldering smell, they must have had ladies in before my because the ward smelt like a school chemistry lab

I feel really defeated already this month, this may sound strange but I know when AF is going to arrive because my stomach makes these gurgling noises, it!!!8217;s hard to describe, not a rumble or digestion but almost like a liquidy sounding gurgle. It has been making these noises all day so tbh I am expecting a shorter cycle this month. Not going to lie either I have been crying my eyes out to, friends just posted on social media their baby arrives, of course really happy for them, but I want what they have got. It!!!8217;s jealousy but without spite if you know what I mean. Then me and OH have had a row, nothing serious but I just think why cause stress, so I have tucked myself up in bed and intend to wallow in self pity

    Happy bloody weekend xxx

Sorry you are feeling down KatieBee. Everything else in life you want you can either buy straight away or there is a definite start date, but TTC is so woolly and uncertain. It stresses me out too cos I am a bit of a control freak, and I hate not being able to plan. I totally understand your mixed feelings with your friends as well, it's so hard to see others get what you so desperately want - especially when it's not the case to just try harder or they deserve it more.

I hope you are feeling better this wknd. I have started doing YouTube yoga in the mornings for 15mins and I've found that that is good at keeping my stress levels down during the day - my OH said something that would normally start an argument and I managed to have a civilised chat instead. Maybe something like that would help?

    HopHop congratulations!!

KatieBee sorry to hear you're having a rough time and that AF is on her way. I understand what you mean about seeing other people share news and feeling a bit jealous- I even got irrationally annoyed this week when I saw that family on the news are having their 21st baby- I just want one!! Of course you wish them well but it's not easy to see other people seemingly finding things so easy.

As for me, I *think* I ovulated yesterday. Had a few symptoms which I either don't normally get/never really paid attention to before TTC and am fairly sure that's what it was. Of course with my crazy cycles I could be wrong, but I will tentatively ask to be moved to TWW/BFP hopeful for now xx

Hophop if it only takes a few minutes that is something I can probably breathe through and cope with. If it was like 20 minutes I don!!!8217;t think I could do it! Thanks for your advice.

Celepie I agree that I don!!!8217;t have the patience for squinting at lines! I have used the CB digital OPKs with the smiley faces for 2 cycles and liked those as they were clear. I!!!8217;m hoping those are the ones we get free from the trial!

Rambosmum. Ah ok, looks like I won!!!8217;t get them in time for this cycle then but hopefully I will be all set for the next cycle!

KatieBee123, I totally get those feelings. I went shopping for gift for 2 friends that have had babies, and I really enjoyed looking at the little clothes but then my heart felt so sad that there is no sign of being able to do the same for our own. The doctor asked me how I felt about not being pregnant yet and thinking back I didn!!!8217;t really tell her the truth. I was so worried she would say I was stressing myself out which was why I wasn!!!8217;t pregnant! In hindsight she is so nice I should have told her. I did say it bothered me but said it had been out of my mind for a few months whilst we were having these odd cycles, which is true, but I didn!!!8217;t convey how much it can get to me. I hope your weekend improved.

If you're not in the test group (i.e. the group who weren't allowed to use OPK) then they send you 2 cycles worth of tests to use after the trial. Not sure which OPKs they send though.

Thank you for all the support ladies, that is why I love this board, although I have no idea who you are I feel I can say everything that is in on my mind without anything being misunderstood or questioned, I suppose we just all get !!!8220;it!!!8221; whatever !!!8220;it!!!8221; is

PKK - maybe go back in a few weeks and and explain how you really feel, I imagine she probably sensed it was distressing.

Sakurah - 100% right a total control freak with no control in this situation

Butter mint - is that the Radford family? Number 21?! I am sure I watched a programme recently on the family and she said 20 was enough and she was on the pill as her 20th was her last. My heart goes out to her though, one of her little boys was still born, and they always do little gestures to remember him by. 21 children though, bloody hell lol!
