So, after my last post I don't quite believe it, but...
Felt really odd all week and decided to take a pregnancy test this morning, day before my period is due (or is supposed to be anyway if my cycles were playing ball). BFP! :O
Now desperately trying to hold on for as long as possible from the bathroom so I can take another test - after last time, I feel like I need to take another one of another brand before I feel sure.
But ARGH!!!0 -

Hello ladies
I'm not completely new here, but I have developed a new log on for this thread, because, well you know. It's sensitive!
May I join you please? Feel free to say "no", because I don't meet all your criteria right now. I'll explain.
We've been trying to conceive since November 2016, but I have endometriosis (I'm 30, soon to be 31 - my GP seems to be concerned by this!). We haven't conceived so far because my endometriosis was giving me a 14 day cycle. I ovulate, but nothing could stick because I'd have another period. Earlier this year I had a laparoscopy to remove the endometriosis. This is a temporary fix, it will grow back, but my consultant said that the removal gives me a small window with a better chance of conception. It's not worked. As of today, I'm actually 5 days before period and I know you don't want people joining days away from testing. But I'm not testing this month because I'm not pregnant, I bled mid-month - nothing major - but I'm sure that the ship has sailed this month. I'm also starting to get my period pains (it's still bad post op sadly, just cut down on the bleeding).
Other than my MIL, no one else knows we even so much as want a child, let alone that we're having problems. After 10 months of problems, going through a painful op, coming out the other side with a flat tummy, it's starting to wear thin. I think it's probably time to join some other ladies now!
To make matters worse, I've had a whole load of comments recently that have made me feel worse; two male friends are hinting that they think I am pregnant, mum has asked why don't I get a coil to help with my endometriosis, colleague asked why don't I have a hysterectomy. ARGH!
Happy to come back in a week if you like :-)0 -
Hi LavenderBee, I'm not technically part of this group anymore but I lurk here so hope you don't mind me posting - I too have endo and we actually conceived on cycle 11. I hadn't had surgery for 2 years but had a mirena coil in that time which helped to slow the growth so that came out last September and we conceived in July.
Just wanted to give you a positive endo story as all I heard were nightmare stories from my support group and I was starting to feel like it would never happen.
Wishing you all the luck in the World (along with everyone else on here) xx:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Congratulations Katey:)
Chelle since I don't know what cd I'm on until I have a period maybe I'll wait till I know that to be added? ThanksTrying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -
Thanks Kirtsypoos - and more importantly congratulations!
I do know someone else who conceived with end at 25, took yolks and Drs said it may already be too late for her then. I am 6 years older. Gulp!
After posting I had a pre-period bleed again, having had niggling aches for a few days. Not due til Wednesday though. I must be out for this month now surely - I don't even have tests in the house, that's how unconfident I am now!0 -
Congratulations KateySW! Brilliant news
LavenderBee I also have endometriosis, and I am 28 trying for my first. I am very fortunate because my surgeon said there was no endo on my ovaries and my tubes were clear, so he did say we should have no problems conceiving but no joy as yet since my surgery in April. Currently on day 9 of AF which unfortunately is quite normal with my endo. Have just started doing a low-carb / high fat diet after doing lots of research, as apparently this helps to ease symptoms and is generally great for fertility, but will see how I get on anyway. I supplement with a B complex, cod liver oil, zinc and vitamin D, drinking raspberry leaf tea, and have in the last week started doing yoga (there's a whole series on YouTube for fertility and some specially aimed at endo).
Fingers crossed for you0 -
Thanks thrift360 - whilst I'm sad that others are also going through the same thing, it is great to connect to people who are not my mother (who developed it in her late 40s-50 and didn't have it return after surgery - whole different ball game!).
I was thinking I need to start doing some specific stretches - I already do some yoga and sports training so my diet is pretty good to start with. It's the pain that gets me, it's just a physical reminder that my body won't work.
Many years ago i couldn't stop bleeding for months on end. It was solved with hormonal contraception - I realise that was probably the start of endo. Now mine presents as having a "spare" period mid-cycle.
Mine was almost exclusively on ovaries and ligaments, little bit on uterus.0
