    Hi everyone,

I wanted to pop back and say hello and see how you were doing. Hope all is okay and huge congrats MrsNubs :)

Had a couple of weeks of just trying to get life back to normal really - lots of sorting out the house, visiting family, allowing myself to rest a bit. OH has been my rock and has been doing the best he can to cheer me up and offer hugs on demand.

We were thinking about holding fire for a bit, at least until the wedding was over, but we decided we don't want to stop in our tracks for something we both want so much, so it's more like we're not preventing right now really. We wouldn't want to try much beyond September, as being in the first trimester might be pants on our wedding day (if we even managed that, although I can't see me being anything but thrilled if that happens). But we'll see.

*If* my tracker is correct, I would be around 4dpo right now. Whether that's accurate remains to be seen but after the rubbish time we had last month, I'm really trying my best not to read too much into it. Fingers crossed it's all slightly more the norm, whichever way it goes, this time round. I'll keep you all posted in any case.

Hello all, hope everyone is well! Wishing you all baby dust as always :D

I had my CD10 scan today- I've got one dominant follicle measuring 12mm, and my uterine lining is 7mm. I'm happy that I've reacted to the Clomid, and I know that the first cycle is really just to test the waters.

I don't know, I guess I was just hoping for more/bigger follicles. Going back on Friday for another scan, so keeping my fingers crossed that it gets bigger!

KateySW lovely to see you again hun I hope you and your OH are ok :)

Spooney thats good to hear, IU'll have to read up as I don't know anything about follicles!

CD1 for me.. Bah. I stupidly got my hopes up high over something small so comedown today hasn't been nice. This was genuinely the first time I thought yep, its happening. Feeling a little blue today but tomorrows another day. On the bright side lost 6lb first week at slimming world.

@Spooney - my fertility doctor wouldn't let us try unless less there was less than two follicles. In my first try I had 5! She said OH had to move into the spare room haha. I reacted more than usual to clomid so have to half the dose. She told me it is usually the opposite and that there are more follicles second time around...apparently it can work more and more each cycle. At my second cycle scan I have one good follicle and was cleared. This is our third cycle. Just letting you know what my doctor told me as sounds like you have had a good first cycle :-) - good luck!!! X

@KateySW - your OH sounds like a gem. Hope things are good.

@Zeni - sorry to hear that. Hope you're ok xx

    Hi all.

Just curious...what do people consider the appropriate amount for BDing? I know that may sound weird but there is so much contradictory stuff online about how often, what window etc. My doctor said to try right away following my CD12 scans 'regularly' but never really specified what that meant and when I asked for more information she just said 'well, you don't need to do it multiple times a day or anything' and to make sure we've 'done it' before ovualtion as the window is small.

Just curious really as some sites say every other day and some say twice a day.

Based on my regulated cycles my window is CD14-CD16. Bit of a novelty having any indication or idea tbh and enjoying having less unknowns and pressure x

Zeni-Sorry the witch got you, I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you this cycle!

Teeniepops-My FS told me that it's best to BD every other day between CD10-20 to cover all the bases. If you're tracking with OPKs, I've also read that it's best to do it every other day until you get a positive OPK, then do it the day of the positive and the day after that too.

Some people like to do it everyday during their fertile week, but aside from the issue of not giving enough time to regenerate OH's swimmers, it's not for me because I find it makes BD'ing into too much of a chore, like we're literally trying to cross off a to-do list, you know?

Hi Katey, thanks for the update. Glad you have taken some time for yourself and that OH has been looking after you. Hope your cycles return to normal quickly. I think you have taken a sensible approach with being relaxed about things in the build up to the wedding. Hope the plans are going well and glad you have something to focus on. Do keep us posted.

Zeni sorry the witch got you. It's so annoying when your body plays tricks on you like that. Mine is good at that, there is normally some sort of symptom that makes me think Maybe, and then AF arrives... Fingers crossed for next month.

spooney that's for keeping us updated about your Clomid. I didn't know anything about the follicles so it's really interesting to hear your updates and thanks to Teeniepops for the info. Good luck that everything is as it should be Friday.

Teeniepops with regards to BDing, I have always found it quite painful so part of our journey has been to build it up during the fertile week. We are now up to 4 times 2 days apart, so this month we BD on CD11, 13, 15 and 17. Unfortunately couldn't quite manage CD19 which was a shame as I think I ovulated CD18, but hopefully that is enough as it is a lot for me. When I fell pregnant last time we only BD on CD14, 16 and 19. I think try to do it as much as you can to the point you are enjoying it, but stop if it becomes a chore. Hope that helps and good luck.

Thanks for the responses re: BDing. There is so much contradictory information online about the potential to do it too much Vs too little. We have been opting for the 'every other day' approach as we don't want to make it into a daily chore either. Hope all are well x
