Hi all
Hope everyone has had a good Christmas.
Following feeling extremely nauseous every day last week and numerous BFNs, AF arrived at tea time on Christmas Day. It gets later in the day each time now, which is annoying as it was always overnight. Anyway, it did help that it came once I was at home and the family festivities were over.
I am very down but am trying my hardest not to let it break me, particularly as OH is feeling it now, he barely spoke on Christmas night which broke my heart. I just don't know how long we can go on with this disappointment each month.
We are hoping to book a holiday in the next few weeks as we both need some total relaxation and stress free time.
Welcome DragonEye, I presume you have been tested before from your post? and Chelle22, I alway feel that TTC would be better if I was married as that is all I would have to focus on (I am desperate to get married too) but I know that being married has that added pressure - I just say we want to be married first when people ask, which is often since we have been together nearly 5 years and I am approaching late 30s. Sigh.0 -

Hey RachyLou. You can do it. You will get there.
No we haven't had any tests yet. We went before but they wouldn't text until the two years were up. I should getthem booked in but I don't know if I can deal with more bad news right now, as stupid as that sounds0 -
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
Orange_Candle congratulations on your BFP, I wish you well.
RachyLou I'm sorry you are finding things tough, I hope you can find some positive over the next few weeks. Booking a holiday sounds like a great idea, it will give you something to look forward to and time to really relax which could help things along. I often worry that the stress of my job (I'm a teacher and so is hubby) is having an effect on our difficulties TTC. I hope 2017 brings you your BFP.
In the new year I am planning to visit the Drs to get my thyroid checked as I have always been on the low end, and also putting us on the 'radar' should we continue to have problems. I am also focusing more on making sure I am eating the right 'fertility' foods and drinking lots of water.
Anyone planning to try something different in the new year?0 -
Congrats OrangeCandle, sorry I missed your news when I posted earlier. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy
Dragoneye - We have started the tests as I'm over 35. I feel a bit like a fraud though as we have conceived once, which ended in a MMC. It is a little scary but better done sooner rather than later as some on here will tell you that their tests and results have taken a long time
Chelle - I think I may do 'Dry January' and cut down on caffeine to see if it helps. This will be tough as tea and wine are two of my fave things :eek:0 -
Congratulations OrangeCandle.
Sorry AF arrived Rachy. I had been checking back to see if you had updated and was disappointed for you when I saw. I'd like to say it gets better although I've been having a difficult time myself because of the MC and it being this time of year but in general have been feeling better than I have in a long while.
I'm starting to not focus so much on TTC which is a bit strange because of how obsessed I have been. I sort of feel 'I know I can get pg it's just a case of when and I have no control over it' now. I think it's also helped I've been seeing my GP and things have started moving. I've been referred for more counselling with a different service, she's asked me to go back for bloods on CD 37 which is normally 7 days after OV so I'm guessing these bloods are to see if I'm OV. I have a plan to start Slimming World next week. I also think my cycle length is reducing since I started the different vits. I used to take just a multivitamin and have changed to just a vit B complex which includes the B6. So apart from the odd tearful days because of the MC and the other things that have gone along with that I'm feeling really positive.0 -
Congratulations OrangeCandle
Please can I join this thread? I've been with my partner for 6 years, I came off contraception 12 months ago optimistically thinking I would get caught straight away. Didn't happen and we've been properly TTC for about 6 months (tracking ovulation, taking folic acid, cutting back on coffee etc.)
I'm just now on the week running up to ovulation so fingers crossed for a 2017 baby!0 -
Morning ladies.
Hope everyone had a great new year
Currently 2 days late but no symptoms to get my hopes up

Happy New Year all.
I'm CD6 today. Feeling optimistic that it will happen this year, and determined to do what I can to help. My cousin (who it took 7 years for) is going to get me some stones to help. Personally I am very sceptical but she swears by them and I'm willing to try anything!
Wishing everyone a very fertile 2017!0 -
Happy new year. Hoping 2017 brings a sprinkling of baby dust to you all x0
