Bless you AthensGeorgia, must have been a really sad Christmas last year for you. It's good that you have got some positivity back and fingers crossed the witch is gone by the weekend and you can relax and enjoy Christmas this time round

It would have been my due date on New Years Day so me and OH have made no plans for NYE/NYD at all as I don't know what I will feel like. I am trying not to build it up as a 'thing' but obviously it's a hard thing to just forget. I hope that a BFP will take the edge off but need to try and not to build up that hope - it's just so hard!

Can I be updated to CD2 please? It was expected since we BD'd once last month what with OH being ill, but still a blow as I was 2 days late & my blood pressure was low like it was last time I conceived. Ah well, lots of nice food and drink for xmas, and if we get lucky in the next few months then I won't be preggers next xmas either!

Probably won't be back on until I update for OV now, so have a wonderful Christmas everyone, and fingers crossed for everyone's next cycle xx

Welsh - you're very welcome to hang out with us. :wave: I myself struggled with first, not with second, and third, well, a few months in now....... have friends who fell instantly for first and took over a year for the second. You never know how long things will take.

Hi all,

I hope you don't mind me lurking, I'm just trying to get a feel for all the terms etc!

I have PCOS and endometriosis so have been advised to try ASAP as it will probably not be straightforward

We have just moved to a more family friendly house (literally just - moved in on Friday!)

The aim is to have most of my debt paid off before a little one comes along and then we can comfortably afford maternity leave. People keep telling me you can never really afford it but I am a stresshead so I want to be more in control of money!

I will continue lurking if that's ok

Thank you twigpig. AF has definitely arrived so looks like I'll be hanging around here for a while. Although obviously a little disappointed I'm relieved to at least know one way or another, so at least I can have a drink over Xmas without worrying.

My LOs are 8 & 10 now so I'm obviously a bit older than last time we tried, and I also have PCOS and endometriosis.

Welcome Kirtsypoos, obviously only you and OH can decide when is the right time to officially start trying but please bear in mind that sometimes it can take a long time and I think coming off the pill sooner rather than later is better - you can always use additional contraception if you are totally not ready for any surprises

I am symptom spotting like crazy:

Monday 9DPO - early morning cramps, frequent urination
Tuesday 10 DPO- nausea
Wednesday 11DPO (today) - tingling breasts (but I get that all the time)

Two tests done - BFNs. I wouldn't expect a positive until 14DPO but I am officially in crazytown :eek:

Kirstypoos just to echo Rachy if I could do things again I would come off the pill much sooner and use alternatives whilst my body got into routine. It took us 14 months to get pregnant just because my body went nuts after being on the pill for 9 years. Doesn't happen for everyone but unfortunately you don't know until it's you!!
